If I'm Matt Millen, I'm on the horn with Vinny asking for the same deal offered for Ocho Cinco..

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier

Yeah, but if I'm Vinny then I'm tell Matt Millen to fuck off. I'm not about to give out the same deal for an injury prone reciver that doesn't think he's a good fit for a west coast offense. Boldin on the other hand I might be willing to offer a similar deal, but then again Bidwell is as stuborn as they come.

The right combination of #1, #2, and #3 receivers is key to success. Its like the two back system. The days of one huge receiver are over, and Welker is its pioneer. He has that unique characteristic to complement any #1 receiver. This is just one twisted veiw, so please dont hurt me.... but once again, give me a choice and I would pick Welker over Moss any day
I wouldn't say a twisted view, just a different way to look at things. I don't agree, but I understand where you're coming from.

Most #1 receivers in the NFL are not on Moss' level. The things Moss can do are close to unique in the NFL and there are only 2-3 WRs who have the abilities he does. Would Welker still be productive and the system function without Moss, sure, but it would certainly be much less potent.
