Capital Gains

What a great job by Bruce Boudreau and the Washington Capitals to climb their way up to sole possession of first place in the Southeast Division. Granted, they're just slightly above .500 but still it's a great run by them. I heart Ovechkin

ESPN - NHL - National Hockey League

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have dropped five straight games

Hopefully, for your sake, they will keep going. The Caps, just like my Bruins, need to realize they need to score more than they allow.
You guys have a great shot at your division, it's a VERY weak division, and talent wise, I'm not sure any team in your division is better than the Caps. Ovechkin is a flat out stud too.

Re: Capital Gains

Yeah I gotta say Bruce B. has done an excellent job with the Caps since he became the coach, I never would've imagined the Caps going from last place to first during the season but he's def. helped us a lot.

Re: Capital Gains

It's good to see the Caps doing so well. They've gone 20-10-4 since Boudreau took over, and are now in 1st place in the Southeast. I had completely written them off back in November with such a crappy start, but it's nice to see them playing so well.

With Ovechkin, Viktor Kozlov, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green have really solidified the top 2 lines very well. Alexander Semin is having an off year, but is still capable of catching fire.

Re: Capital Gains

They look like they're starting to pick it up on the road too. Back to back road victories are tough to come by in the NHL much less on consecutive nights. They've shown they can play with Ottawa and Filthy and they have games coming up against Atlanta and Carolina that could give them a cushion in the division.
