A classic song will always be a classic. Not all oldies are classics, as not all classics are oldies either. There is no transition, especially since one man's trash is another man's classic.

It's not really up for debate though, "Oldies" is a specific type of music, like Country or Heavy Metal.
If you want to "define" Dolly Parton as "death metal", you could, just like you could try to "define" songs as Oldies...but you'd be just as wrong as with the Death Dolly. I think I'll go hop in my Ford Firebird and get some lunch. It's not really a Firebird, I'm just defining it that way. :cheeky-sm |
