New Competitive Fantasy Football league
I started a new league for people that are first and foremost, good at fantasy football. This is a league of only 10 participants, but you will start a lot of players. You will be able to score points in many ways, not just a TD league!
The draft is Saturday, Sept 1st. (That's this saturday) At 6:00pm Eastern. If you can not be at the draft, please do not sign up. Also, if you suck at fantasy football, please do not sign up. I want to keep this as competitive as possible. The point is to make a league that would be tough to win and be ultra competitive. No cheaters allowed. If you have what it takes, please sign up and we'll have a great year. it's a yahoo league: id#- 605720 pass.- campbell league name- Redskins Dynasty Bound

Re: New Competitive Fantasy Football league
OK, here you go guys. There are only 10 teams allowed in the league. I would have liked to see more teams, but when you have to start 2 qb's, you can't do 12 teams or more, same with 2 kickers and 2 defenses.
With all the positions you start, it will be a deep league, and with all the stats, it will be a competitive league. Matty, you for sure have shown me you can pick very well, I'd really welcome you to joining the league. Playoffs: Week 14, 15 and 16 (6 teams) Roster Positions: QB, QB, WR, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, RB, TE, W/R, W/R, K, K, DEF, DEF, D, D, DB, DL, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN Stat Categories: Completions (.5) Passing Yards (20 yards per point; 1 points at 250 yards; 1 points at 300 yards; 1 points at 400 yards) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-3) Sacks (-1) Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 1 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards) Rushing Touchdowns (6) Receptions (1) Reception Yards (10 yards per point; 1 points at 100 yards; 1 points at 150 yards; 1 points at 200 yards) Reception Touchdowns (6) Return Yards (15 yards per point) Return Touchdowns (6) 2-Point Conversions (2) Fumbles Lost (-3) Offensive Fumble Return TD (6) Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3) Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3) Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3) Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4) Field Goals 50+ Yards (5) Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards (-3) Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards (-2) Field Goals Missed 30-39 Yards (-1) Field Goals Missed 40-49 Yards (-.5) Field Goals Missed 50+ Yards (0) Point After Attempt Made (1) Point After Attempt Missed (-1) Sack (3) Interception (3) Fumble Recovery (3) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Block Kick (3) Return Yards (25 yards per point) Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6) Points Allowed 0 points (17) Points Allowed 1-6 points (12) Points Allowed 7-13 points (8) Points Allowed 14-20 points (4) Points Allowed 21-27 points (1) Points Allowed 28-34 points (-3) Points Allowed 35+ points (-10) Tackle Solo (2) Tackle Assist (1) Sack (4) Interception (4) Fumble Force (2) Fumble Recovery (2) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Pass Defended (1) Block Kick (1)

Re: New Competitive Fantasy Football league
Thanks anyway.
I know every person has different preferences in terms of fantasy teams. I feel this kind of league is a ton more challenging cause there are more intangibles involved. It requires more thought, and knowledge of a broader band of players. If you change you mind, you're more than welcome to join.

Re: New Competitive Fantasy Football league
It would be a challenge no doubt, but with that many starters I think you're going to really stretch the available talent pool, and you'll end up with total scrubs starting in some cases and benches that are worthless.

I enjoy more challenging leagues, and this one is perfect for me, hopefully it will be for others too. But like I said, I understand it's not for everyone...especially those that are just the "casual" fan, or young fantasy player...those kinds of players will find it difficult. The seasoned fantasy football players will find it very challenging, and hopefully fun. Well, I would have liked for you to give it a shot, but I understand you not wanting to. Good luck in your other leagues.

Re: New Competitive Fantasy Football league
Well, one of the reasons I said that no one can join unless they are at the draft is to cut down on the time.
I was involved in a 14 man league with 25 players (max), and it went faster than you would think. The auto drafters held us back because it will go down all the way on an auto draft for some reason. Most made their pick within 10-15 seconds of their turn.
