ladell for jamal?

Hey guys I was thinking of trying to trade Jamal Lewis for Betts. I dont know if the guy will do it, but I think it could be good for me. Call me a die hard fan, but i think Betts can tear it with full time duty. Im I crazy? Hard to tell if TJ gonna steal goalline TDs though. What do you guys think?

Re: ladell for jamal?

from the first games, it looks like it'll be betts 75% of the time at least, but maybe the coaches finally realized TJ can play... if that's the case who knows?

the other problem (besides whether TJ steals carries), is how good or bad campbell's going to be, since that'll directly effect how the offense is called.

If you don't need jamal, it'd be a good move, just in case it works out since betts numbers would be more consistent in the best case senario. if you need that rb in you lineup (no other decent depth), you could end up screwing yourself...

so, who are your other RBs and how many RB/flex spots do you have?

Re: ladell for jamal?

jamal = beat up, and just about done. betts probably gets the bulk of the carries. with a rookie qback, its hard to tell until the first game. and, yes, i know campbell been here a couple of seasons, but has no game experience

Re: ladell for jamal?

Rush-wise it looks like TJ runs SO SLOW but it seems like he gets really good yardage when they let him tumble on through. I'm also pumped at the idea of seeing Sellers AND Duckett in the backfield together.

I'll 2nd what That Guy said...

Realize that short yardage situations will most likely to go Duckett, so that could take away from Betts's TDs...

I only saw him run once for the twelve yards, or whatever, but he looked quicker than I anticipated...

NM.... I picked up Ladell for Joseph Addai. Addail gets alot of receptions and we get points per reception, but I think betts will be in the same boat.

Ronnie Brown and Carnell Williams were both highly touted for their ability to catch the ball out of the backfield... so dump-offs are in Campbell's pedigree. I'm sure everyone is going to be blitzing like crazy.

Our oline had brunell as the least sacked QB, but they werer also #1 in holding...

I think we're going to see the same of alot of dump-off passes in the face of pressure at first. Once they see the kid wont get rattled, they may back it off, but Betts is probably an excellent starter for the next 2-3 weeks.

Re: ladell for jamal?

i think addai is a much safer rb than betts right now. he's overtaken rhodes now, and you don't have to worry about QB play or a TD vulture, just shared carries.

Re: ladell for jamal?

yeah but with warrick dunn and frank gore, I really dont start addai. he was my benchwarmer so I gambled on betts.

This is a Trade probably D. Snyder would do ohh and give him a 50 mill contract and your first round pick I don't know if he takes vacations in April but it apears every year he tries to give them all up so he doesn't has to show up hahaha

but the reality is J. Lewis is about done banged up can't produce he would be a terrible pickup. Betts better option

Re: ladell for jamal?

Yeah Malcom after I read all the post I noticed that's why I made the correction

But the D. Snyder comment still applies specially after the AA contract ohh and the B.Lloyd trade, oohhh and the McIntosh draft trade ohhh ok let's leave it at that.

We've had so many wacky "what if we get this guy..." threads, it's tough to tell.

I laugh when I see his name written as D Snyder. It makes me picture him in makeup with a blonde perm screaming into a microphone.
