This honestly looks like a mediocre college defense. Absolutely sickening that this is what Ron Rivera has constructed on defense in four years. He hired Jack and put this D together. My God he has no business any where near an NFL team.
💯

I can't help thinking Harris' coaching of the secondary last year hid JDR's ineptitude and gave RR a false sense of security, up to the point he left and THEN RR thought he had to draft DB's to make up for it, instead of retaining Harris (with a promotion) or replacing him with another quality coach.

This organisation has to learn the virtues of promoting talent from within. We've let so many talented young coaches leave instead of promoting them.

I like Toohill thinking he's anywhere nearly athletic enough to lose contain for the 0% chance he had of making that tackle if the RB actually did get it.

To me there's a big discipline element to many of these plays. Either a player lacks it and goes outside their responsibility, or they lose it out of frustration/desperation to affect the play. A lot of that is on the player, but likewise the coaching. Maybe more. If they were well coached they'd play as a unit, regardless of talent.
