Re: Eagles Postgame

I can't buy that a group of grown ass men who are elite athletes were too tired to lineup for 1 more fucking play, to beat a legit super bowl contender on the road. Don't buy it for a second, and it's even worse if true. Also, wouldn't the defense be just as tired, on top of being on their heels after giving up the TD? Rivera just covering his own ass like he always does. I don't care if people were fine kicking the XP and going to OT, I would have went for it. But Rivera's reasoning was the most ridiculous reasoning possible.

Re: Eagles Postgame

It's all moot!

A lot of really great hindsight here. They didn't lose because RR decided not to go for 2, or because Terry was called out of bounds, or because of any one play / call.

Bottom line is they just needed to play better. They needed to be more consistent. You can't put together three good quarters and expect to beat a really good team in their house.

Hopefully they learned a lot about themselves, and that one sticks with them. Time to move on to Da Bears.

Yup. Third quarter got away from us instead of the first. We did play great for three quarters on the road against a great team. 3-2 here we come.
