it would make perfect sense to me. why declare a team the winner of a division if its division record is worse than the team it swept. thats why there are more than two teams in a division.

example:
skins 10-6, 4-2 in the division
dallas 10-6, 3-3 in the division
philly 10-6, 3-3 in the division
N.Y. 10-6, 2-4 in the division but swept skins
N.Y. would win the division. thats why it makes no sense to me.

Hey, we are currently 9-2 in the NFC and IF we beat Philly we will be 5-1 in the NFC EAST (swept the Cowboys-2, swept the Eagles-2, split with the Giants-1/1) that is why if the ONLY thing we have to do is win...if it comes down to a tie with another team (record-wise), we are dominant in the division and WE WIN....

Como esta el YAAAAAAY!!! (thanks for that one-CrankYankers)

Re: Cowboys/Redskins in the first round?

So if a team beats another team TWICE it shouldnt matter (even with same overall record) as long as the other has better DIVISIONAL rec? I am so glad you dont control the playoff tiebreakers......You beat a team TWICE i hope NFL considers you as better team ( as long as same overall record that is)

just because you beat a team twice does not make you the better of the two teams for the playoffs, it just means that you have that teams number(so to speak) just because you beat a team twice should not be the reason you win the division, if you lose to everyone else in the division. once again, thats why there are more than 2 teams in a division. yea you might beat a team twice but lose to all the other teams, while i lose twice to you but beat all the other teams, my team should be the best team in the division, i beat everyone except you but you could'nt beat anyone but me. were talking about winning a division here, being the best out of a group, were not talking about being able to beat one particular team within that group.

i agree to disagree as well . my arguement does't really matter anyway seeing as how they go by head to head, i just like the other way better but oh well, what are ya gonna do? we just need the skins to win, it would truly be sweet.
