You do that and I'll be happy twice over. We'll have won and I'm not on the same continent as you

Good tape review. Curl has outplayed Collins at safety.

Pittsburgh is not a GREAT team however, their identity right now is what the WFT should be striving for...all around solid play from defense and special teams, and offensively sound with balance from the run and passing game, which all stems from good coaching. Also, is there a better team over the last 15 years at drafting wide receivers??

Key to winning the game: Covid-19

This will be a bloodbath.
Dwayne Haskins takes over at half time.

Re: PIT v WFT Pregame Thread

We are just the team to offer a trap to Pitt. If the D play as well as they did against Dallas then I feel its ours to lose, but the O can't make mistakes. and we have to take a chance downfield. If there's any weakness in their D it's there. I'm not too scared of their O but they have good WR's as Redskins247 noted, so we have to play tight pass D in the deep make pressure pay up front. Their run O even if Conner plays, isn't scary, but we know it's a bit of a weakness on our D.

The Ravens pretty much ran out of steam allowing them to run out the clock last night, but the Steelers barely crawled over the line in the end. That last drive to chew the clock looked a bit desperate; passing on early downs with the lead and just 2:30 on the clock, even if it was mainly to the flat? No trust in their run game. Force them to pass, where our strength lies, and chew up the clock on O to keep Big Ben off the field.

Do all that and I'd go 20-19 WFT.

Word is that the Steelers are mad at themselves for not playing good last game, that doesn't bode well for us.. Steelers 27-WFT 14!

Re: PIT v WFT Pregame Thread

Well three weeks ago I would have said something like 47-3 Steelers which still could happen because we are Washington.
However we are playing better than terrible now. They are missing a few really key guys. If you look at their 11 wins there are alot of close games. Hell the Cowboys without Dak gave these guys a run. So at this point Ill say 47-10!

Re: PIT v WFT Pregame Thread

Pittsburgh didnt look that great against the Ravens but that doesnt mean anything, how many dropped passes did they have? Anythings possible, but our running game will have to be working on all cylinders for a chance, because Alex Smith is not going to pass us to victory.

Cooley’s Dallas game tape breakdown of Alex Smith said he played like a JAG. Missed seeing several wide open receiver big play and touchdown throws. He said Isaiah Wright should have caught 2 td, that Alex didnt throw him the ball for some reason.

Alex will need to play better to beat Pittsburgh

Well I’m not surprised. I think a lot of people on here were so giddy after whipping Dallas’s ass that they gave Smith a complete pass

I don't care. They scored 34 points. My guess is he stayed within the game plan, and if you beat a team (I don't care who) 41 - 16, and you don't have to throw the ball down the field to do that...Good...
