Fuck me, I'm gonna be on lockdown in one form or another forever. That's absurd. I really need to start loving reading.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
Reading the excuses from the media coming out of California and other publications is quite eye opening. It was funny for a second, but now just sad.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
Quote:
These men have made a list of people who deserve to die — politicians, professors, journalists, scholars. The politically correct elite. The list lived on the internet and everyone was allowed to add names. Everyone was allowed to vote on their most hated. They called it "America's Least Wanted" and laughed about it on talk shows. 'Adjustment Day' ... is 'Fight Club' franchised. Gone national. Sick with all of our current ills and darkest, weirdest desires. Only it wasn't a joke. Once the names were all collected and the list finalized, value was added to each name in accordance with how many votes it'd received. That value would translate to votes in these men's new American government. And the only way to collect? Kill that person and bring in their ear. https://www.npr.org/2018/05/01/60500...t-into-madness im currently reading this and loving the first 100 or so pages im in. Love Chuck palahniuk. I think youd dig it. Liberals and elites get their reckoning. |

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
Still hearing people say this is just a bad flu once in a while. C'mon man. We're probably going to surpass 500k deaths before this is all said and done.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
https://www.latimes.com/california/s...vaccine-access
La times: Roughly 20% to 40% of the L.A. County’s front-line workers who were offered the vaccine declined to get the shot. So many in Riverside County refused the vaccine — an estimated 50% — that officials met to strategize how best to distribute the unused doses The narratives crushed by the California covid surge have been quite amazing

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
Hogan moved school staff up to 1B in vaccinations. Happy news. Still think it is somewhat unlikely we get back into buildings this year. Without students have vaccines we will still have lots of parents opt to keep students home.

California's equity focus causing some vaccine delays, health secretary says California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly was peppered with questions about the state's COVID-19 vaccine rollout Tuesday, as many wondered why the state has only administered about a quarter of available doses. 25% of their stockpile? JFC...completely unacceptable. California vaccine rollout has an absolute failure to go along with their disaster covid strategy.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
These vaccines need to start being administered. Not sure what the delay is. Ive heard about getting on a wait list for cancellations and Elliot in the morning sd someone got the vaccine just by being in a pharmacy at closing time and a tech was walking around asking if anyone wants.
Md % administered - 35.8% (26th) Va - 29.6% (38) Ca - 27.6% (42) https://www.beckershospitalreview.co...inistered.html The U.S. reported a single-day high in coronavirus deaths this week, with Johns Hopkins University tallying 4,327 fatalities on Tuesday. The harrowing number brings the country’s cumulative death toll to over 380,820. https://www.foxnews.com/health/us-hi...ins-university -- Im so fatigued from this. Hard for my brain to accept it is as deadly as its ever been. -- Anne Arundel couple is first MD people to get that new strain. |

Re: Coronavirus (non political)
It's just crazy that a plan wasn't in place for once we had vaccines ready go. Really, really frustrating.
