Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
I say favorite and not best and stuff like that because that is "opinion" and I want to know what you feel. My 5 Redskins may or may not be the greatest but for whatever reason I just "Like" them the best and to me they stand for what I think of when I think Redskins.
My 5 Favoriite Redskins of all Time Sammy Baugh [GREATEST Redskin of all time bar none...lol] Turk Edwards [Player/Coach] Sonny J. [On and off field Great Redskin] Art Monk [SOON to be HOF'er] Monty Coleman [16 year Skin] Those are my 5 favorite players...who are yours? peace

Re: Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
In alphabetical order:
Earnest Byner (became a fan back in his days with the Browns) Darrell Green (gave us some of the greatest Redskins moments ever Ken Houston (never saw him play really, but that stop against the Cowboys at the 1-yard line is amazing enough to put him in my top five) John Riggins (He's going to go all the way, unless Blackwood can catch him, and he can't!) Joe Washington (just fun to watch) I think Shawn Springs and Marcus Washington may crack the top 5 soon enough

Re: Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
I just got a signed Earnest Byner Redskins card yesterday in a batch and if you PM me yer address I'll mail it to you free. He signed his name and the #44 so he must have signed it for a Cleveland fan using his old Browns number. Plus the card is a "Traded from Cleveland to Washington 4/23/89" Card.
mike mike@nagshead.net ADDED: The batch has Art Monk Darrel Green Joe Jacoby Clinton Portis Earnest Byner

Re: Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
Art Monk is my number one of all time.
D. Green I hate to say him because I dont know if he will live up to being a great Redskin, but I think I've been a bigger fan of Patrick Ramsey than I have ever been of another Skin' while he was on the team, so I'll say Ramsey. Brian Mitchell. I hated his guts when he was with the Eagles/Giants, but coming back here for retirment, and thinking about it, I really loved the guy. Ricky Friggin Sanders. "The Posse" was so cool. I used to have this Posse Poster and I dont know where it went, but I would pay about 100 dollars if I could get it back.

Re: Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
Gmanc, I'm a new Redkins fan (only been into football about 2-3 years) and I also have Ramsey as my favorite. It killed me when the Brunell experiment began and held on as long as it did cause I was ready for it to be Ramseys year, I'm really anticipating next season. Other then that I'd have to go with Riggins (cause even in the few videos I've seen hes dang fun to watch) Springs, Washington, and Jansen. This may change once I pick up more videos of old school Skins. Also I used to love the Smoot, I'd have to say he's my favorite non Skins player now.

In no particular order:
Riggins Green Monk Jacoby Gibbs It's really hard to just name 5, but if I had to pick 5 that define the Washington Redskins to me, these guys above would be it. |

Re: Your 5 All-Time "Favorite" Redskins
Sonny Jurgenson - my father went to college with him, so I was raised in the faith.
Mark Rypien - In a game during the miracle season on 1991, he was informed he was about to break Jurgenson's single game yardage record. He took himself out. That's knowing your place. Darrell Green - He is a man of such character, that in his (hopefully distant) obituary, you should go through many, many paragraphs before you read the words "NFL's fastest man". Art Monk - There are people who aren't sure if Art should be in the Hall of Fame. I can think of 940 reasons. Dave Butz - He used to break his helmets during the course of his gameplay. That is hitting.
