NFL Sunday Ticket
OK, here's my situation. I live in a very, very rural area. I got Direct TV for the NFL Sunday Ticket last year. Direct TV does not offer the local channels in my area, so I get local channels from NYC and LA. Here's my problem, when my beloved Skins are on "locally", local channels that I am not offered and cannot get, then I get blacked out of the game! I can't even pick up the game with a freakin antenna! Last year they blacked me out of 5 games, and when the NFL Sunday Ticket is $240, it makes it hardly worth it! Has anyone else on here encountered this situation?

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket
You should not be having that problem with regular season games. I would call them, because you should be able to get all the regular season games.
Preseason games are another story. Comcast has the rights, and most of those games I couldn't get. |

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket
may need to Move...otherwise 11 games for $240 is still better than no games.

I have had the same problem, but I have both cable and DirecTV so I can just flip over. Sounds like you might need to move or get a big ass antenna!

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket
I have both Cable and Direct TV as well, so I can switch over. However, dont you get a FOX and CBS on your direct TV too? If its a nationally televised ball game, wouldnt it be on there? I think thats how mine goes.

Re: NFL Sunday Ticket
what you need to do is file a petition with directv saying that you are not able to receive local channels. if you do and its accepted, you wont miss anymore games because of blackouts.
i've actually had to do this. i live between two mountains so i dont get an antenna signal. there are actual fcc requirements that must be followed. so you might need to bring someone to your place to test the signal strenght. |
