Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
I am really enjoying all the love and recognition Terry Mac is getting across the league, from former players to opposing coaches. Without a doubt he's our best draft pick in years, and I hope the way he approaches the game rubs off on all of our other young guys.

Jonathan Allen is a stud. He really doesn't get enough credit:

Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
Who’s better Jonathan Allen or Payne? The team may have to make a choice between them as their rookie contracts near their end. I’d take Allen and Ionnadis for contract renewal this offseason.

Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
I can't help wondering if better LB's will make more from Payne in there tying up blockers with double teams and freeing them up to plug the run gaps. Allen is great but aren't be and Ionnidis maybe too alike? What about trading Ionnidis to free up capital to pay Allen and Payne? Or is Settle capable of stepping up and filing Payne's slot? Can't help thinking we need at least 1 top big bodied guy in there; it's not all about pass rush.
Be interesting down the line if we'll be able to keep Sweat and Young together for 4-5 years too. The way its going they'll be both worth top salaries when their rookie deals are up... |

Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
The season started off a little rough but you can see that we have a legit core of young talent that could lead to this team really taking off over the next few years if we play our cards right and continue to build the right way.

Big props to Allen and Payne, they have stepped it up over the last 5-6 games

Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
Am I overestimating his contribution, but haven't the D played better as a whole since Holcomb came back?

Re: WFT Player Appreciation Thread
I wouldn’t waste money on Darby, find a CB in the draft.
