Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
The Redskins have signed back one of their own, although there was no doubt that it was going to happen.
The team has signed wide receiver Aldrick Robinson to a one-year contract worth $570,000, according to NFL writer Brian McIntyre. The team’s sixth-round draft pick in 2011 was an exclusive rights free agent meaning that although his contract had expired the CBA doesn’t allow him to sign anywhere else. Robinson spent most of his rookie year on the practice squad and he didn’t appear in a game. In the two years since he has been an occasional deep threat but the rest of his game hasn’t come along as well. For his career, Robinson has 29 receptions for 602 yards (20.8 yards/catch) and five touchdowns. Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins | Comcast SportsNet Washington |

Happy with this, he seemed to come along towards the end of the year.

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
I like any contract that incentivizes the player to tear it up. DeAngelo Hall is a good example of what happens when you put players on a one-year, prove it type of deal. Robinson has a few tools to work with. I'm not saying he'll be a beast, but I like when contracts are set up to bring out the best. We'll see what he can do.

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
Nice cheap deal. I'm not a Robinson fan (unreliable hands) but I have no problem resigning a young guy with a potential upside to a short term cheap deal.

Guys I thought should be better. Real tired of seeing some of our cast offs re-tread elsewhere to stardom

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
Meh. Robinson appears to be a one-trick alligator. But it is a cheap deal and maybe this offseason he can learn to run better routes and catch the dang ball.

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
Just curious as you guys get seeing a lot more live coverage over there than I would, but in your opinions did he just not turn up on game days, or did the previous coaching staff simply feel he didn't bring enough to the table? Reason I ask is he was supposedly tearing it up in training camp last year, and I was hoping to hear of him having a similar impact when it mattered most. Instead he rarely got a mention.

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
He had a couple of solid games down the stretch and seemed to be on the upswing.

Was he ever tried in the kick return part?

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
If he ever developed a good set of hands, Robinson would be deadly! He's definitely a deep threat.

I do think that he has gotten better at catching the ball in traffic on intermediate routes. Plus, there is still room for him to develop.

Re: Aldrick Robinson re-signs with Redskins
This is a good cheap move... He started playing well with more time at the end of the season... I hope he can develop into more than the occasional go route guy...
