Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
That is all i have to say, Gibbs not Gibb's.
If you want to talk to something belonging to Joe then it would be Gibbs's |

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
Actually, if you wanted to say something belonged to Joe Gibbs, it would be "Gibbs' ".

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
Singular form (as in there is only one Joe Gibbs) then you would say this is Joe Gibbs's team. But in plural as in Joe and his sons, this is the Gibbs' racing team.
7th grade was too long ago, but the fact of the matter is there is no apostrophes in Gibbs. |

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
The point is that there are plenty of people on this board who rather not consult their dictionaries when writing posts. If we start harping on every dangling participle then things will get very dull around here. Besides, I often get a kick out of what people type when they are rushing to make a point. I think the Gibbs' would too!!!!

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
Eh, it was just something that I have been seeing a lot lately, and sorry to sound anal about it but it just plain bugged me. How can you be such a die hard fan and not know how to spell the last name of the guy who pretty much put this team on the map, and is looking to take us back to glory.

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
It's understandable and I guess we're lucky that we don't have Adewale Ogunleye on this team!

Re: Its Gibbs, Not Gibb's
I'm guilty of doing Gibb's. I know it's Gibbs but the s always throws me with a last name!
