I think that Fred Smoot has a right to be excited. He has been underated in my opinion. I know he talks a lot of sh#t, but he's pretty damn good. I think that he is our number 1 corner. I hate to piss anybody off, but I think he was our number 1 last season too.

I agree with both of you. Smoot is a great corner and has been playing in Champ's shadow. He played in pain last season and still played better than Champ. I think Champ was already looking to another team last season. Smoot will show his stuff even more this season under Williams system.

I love smoot. He's an emotional leader, a tough guy, an excellent player, and an all around nice guy. I'd rather see LaVar walk out the door than smoot. SHOW HIM THE MONEY!

Fred seems to like being the spokesperson for the players. More leadership like this is what this team needs. He started to show his emotions in the locker room last year and I hope it continues this season.

SMOOOOOOOT! I think resinging him has to be a top priority for us next season as long as he is keeping the same additude/play this year.
