Houston Chronicle column
Richard Justice is an experienced and savvy reporter and colunmist. He had two stints at the Washington Post and the Redskins were his beat in the past. His column from earlier this month provides some interesting reading...

I have grown tired of the Snyder bashing. Has anyone else? I mean it is an old story that gets rehashed so often.

i'm sick of it too. snyder was horrible when he first purchased the team but the last couple of off seasons he has brought in , for the most part, players that the coaches wanted.

Snyder is to blame for the George, Smith, etc debacle, but since he has been a model owner yet still constantly takes heat. We could have York, who publicly admitted he's more worried about the bottom line than a winning team.

Snyder is in a no-win situation.
If the Skins win under Gibbs, the critics will say "Well of course, he couldn't do it until he brought back Joe Gibbs" If they lose "Of course, even Joe Gibbs can't win under Snyder" Should the Redskins win a Super Bowl in the near future (and they will!) I hope that Snyder stands at the podium and starts pointing to people, a la half-baked, "F*ck you....F*ck you....You're cool...F*ck you...F*ck you...You're cool"

Still, I think if the Skins were to win Snyder really wouldn't care who gets the credit. |
