Positives Amidst Defeat?
I'm sure that there will be a thread posted about what went terribly wrong yesterday. Honestly, was one of the hardest losses, for me, to watch in a very long time. Was a perfect opportunity to re-establish this franchise as legitmate. Not that we are not improving, but, we may be further away than I felt coming into the week. With that said, I did want to note some positives and would love to know if yall saw anything good (other than Rex getting benched) out there.
Fred Davis: I think the kid is a baller. Once he learns to be consistent, he is going to be very dangerous for us. I almost feel soemtimes that he is our ONLY true threat that defenses plan for. Defense: While giving up a 20 point half, the guys responded by pitching a shut-out in the second half, with Hall snagging an intertception that should have changed this game. Gutsy performance by this unit considering how long they were on the field. John Beck: Liked the athleticism he displayed in the pocket. This will be our saving grace as we obviously will go into the next few weeks with a banged up o-line. I thought that his accuracy was a bit off but what I realy like is that he does not look completely lost and actually goes through progressions. If it aint there, he tucks it and can pick up some yards with his feet.
