Brad Johnson and Jeff George

Well, we have months now to spend coming up with crazy trade ideas and rumors. Lately it has been a lot of talk about trading for Portis. Now im not going resay everything about how all this talk is crazy, but it reminded me of us getting Jeff George. We had the number three QB in the league, who took us to the playoffs. Then we went and got the number two QB and created all these problems, messed up our team and everything. No one is talking about adding another HB and keeping portis, its usually trade rumors, but still. Dont you guys want to keep as much of our team together as possible, and more importantly our coaching staff. We will never build and grow as a team if its different every year. Portis was one of the few strong points on our offense tihs year. He and Coles both were close to league leaders for their position. Lets add to our team not take away from it.

Major changes are definitely NOT needed, and that includes this silly talk of dealing Portis after Betts had one good game against a crappy defense.

Yep, there is no reason to trade Portis. He probably would have went over 1500 yards if he had played yesterday. Still, its nice to know that we have someone like Ladell Betts. Betts fits into this system perfect with his running style. Heck, he sort of reminding me of Earnest Byner out there (imagine that huh, hahaha!) Yeah it was one good game against a crappy defense, but overall in relief duty of Portis, Betts has played very well. I wouldn't be dissappointed if Betts were to become a starter if Portis happened to go down with injury. However, as long as Portis is healthy and a Redskin, I hope he is our starter! Just think what either of them could do with a better more consistant offensive line.

I totally agree, that team could have done a few good things that year, but this is the difference, we don't have a meddlesome owner that is going to spoil our chemistry!

Do you remember in 2000 that Danny fired Norv with a winning record, in 1999 Johnson had an incredible year and we had the #2 offense, and we beat the freaking Rams that year didn't we???

We should keep portis, he will pan out, HE HAD A FREAKING GOOD YEAR ON A BAD TEAM MAN!
