Patriots release veteran CB Shawn Springs - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
I think we should sign him to a 3-yr deal with a $10M signing bonus so he can play 3 games a year against the Lions, Rams, and Seahawks... |

Springs was past his prime when he was here the last time. He was old, slow, and more injury prone than CP.
He was one of my favorites here and a true redskin, but it hurt me to see his last couple seasons here, when he had lost more than a step...

He was pretty solid for us at corner all those years, I know he isn't the same guy anymore, but I still think the guy could play ball. I am suprised that he suposedly failed a physical (a link would be cool)...that is pretty bad for a DB...probably the kiss of death if true.

The defense Haslett wants to run doesn't make the distinction between free and strong. They're just supposed to cover their freaking area.
