Saint's secret to success? It's all about alignment.

In 2008, the Saints totaled 15 interceptions, returning none for touchdowns.

The next year, in 2009, the Saint's snagged 26 interceptions with 5 returned for a touchdown.

The difference? Saint's new D coordinator Gregg Williams? Nope, it was a piece of expensive plastic.

Im sure you all have seen the Saint's D displaying explosive athletic plays this past year. What you migh tnot know is that the Saint's players attribute their success to a new mouth guard, which, by alingning the spine gives players extra speed, flexibility and that extra inch which makes or breaks plays.

You dont believe me that a mouthguard can increase a player's 40 time or give him extra flexibility in reaching back and intercepting a ball? Well, hear it from Tracy Porter himself in the video below.

When New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter intercepted Peyton Manning in Super Bowl XLIV, you probably didn't think his mouthguard played much of a role in that game-changing play, much less a major role, did you? Neither did we and, apparently, we were ill-informed.

The Super Bowl hero came to Bristol to educate us on the almost-impossible-to-believe benefits of PPM mouthguards and how they elevate your game to a championship level. According to their website, PPM mouthguards are designed to help "properly align and relax muscles in the face," which in turn results in improved balance, speed (!) and strength (!!) on the playing field. We know what you're thinking and, believe us, we felt the same way ... until we had the chance to witness the awesome power of this majestic mouthpiece for ourselves.

Our Senior Correspondent for Physio-Dental Coordination, Steve Braband, caught up with Tracy and had a chance to borrow his performance-enhancing mouthguard for the day. The results speak for themselves ...

Sightings: New Orleans Saints Custom Mouthpieces (Pure Power Mouthguards)

Above is more information on the mouth guard.

I have not found the video of Tracy Porter I saw a few days after the SB where he was being interviewed by either the NFL network or ESPN. In that he impromtu goes on a tangent praising the new mouth guards. If anyone can help find it, i would appreciate it as it is a good video.

I was initially in disbelief and assumed Jon Gruden was joking when he talked about these mouthguards on a MNF game. Apparently he wasnt, and the Superbowl Saint's have proved to be no joke either.

Nice contribution from The Onion. Oh wait, it's ESPN? Sometimes it's tough to tell the difference.

Just because something sounds like nuttery intuitively doesn't mean it's false.

Tell me you don't have those 4 inch high cubes in your office building? That is like my work environment nightmare.

Why do you associate Jim Zorn with "stupid"?

I simply said it sounds like something he's say, YOU brought stupid into the conversation.
