Yup, nice read.. I'm really hoping that we will extend their contracts.. They are valuable back-ups..

Re: Tackles accept their new roles

shoot i hope they're ready to play when their number is called b/c at some point this season big al isnt going to be able to suit up. i just hope al doesnt get one of those nagging season long injuries like springs or JT that limit what they can do and we end up with a 80% haynesworth.

i am worried about just how many snaps big al will take this season and if he will be in good shape for the last quarter of the season.

go skins!!

I just watched the game my bro taped it for me. Did you see Al on the sidelines he has a game face, that's what these guys have to learn he's already hit that switch.

I think Monty and Golston will make an impact in the few snaps they get this year, simply because they'll be so fresh. Not to mention hungry.

You get a taste of that playing time, then it gets taken away, naturally you're going to be chomping at the bit to get out there and do some damage.

There was one part of the game where they were showing an interview with him and he was smiling and happy, then they cut to him on the sidelines and he looked like a totally different guy, all ticked off and grumpy, LOL. I love his game face.

I think it's all about rotation and keeping guys fresh. Give Phat Al plenty of breaks.

I think Golston and Montgomery have some value on the trade market (or RFAs) at the least with supplemental draft picks. I thought Griffin would be the surprise cut of the off-season.

Re: Tackles accept their new roles

I am extremely happy assuming we are able to rotate the whole Dline wisely, we should be able to keep them fresh throughout the season. Having said that, look at how the Giants Dline is getting hammered. Hopefully GB has some plan to keep them all in there and playing throughout the year.

Re: Tackles accept their new roles

No way could we let Griffin go...he's still the best at his position on our roster by far. Unless he sees a big injury this year I think the team will bring him back again even, maybe under restructured terms though. Griff is a true warrior out there and seems to already have a strong synergy playing alongside Al.

Re: Tackles accept their new roles

And why would you want to get rid of Griffin? Paired with AH they could be a very tough duo inside.
