Derrick Dockery's brother
Maybe we can draft Cedric in the late rounds and keep it a family affair?

Re: Derrick Dockery's brother
I remember he tore an ACL a couple years ago but I don't think has had issues with it since; just reading it seems like he ran a 5.4 in his 40 after pulling a hamstring, that's not too bad haha
haven't really watched him play, saw one draft profile on him, 3 out of the 4 expected target teams were NFC-S |

Moving this to the NFL Draft Central Forum...since this is draft related and we have a forum to house all draft related threads

Re: Derrick Dockery's brother
If he's still there in the 7th when we pick, I'd give him a shot. Buges could coach him up and Derrick could show him what it takes to play in the NFL.

Re: Derrick Dockery's brother
Rarely a good idea to put two brothers on the same team. Creates bad blood with the organization when one of them gets cut.

If he's there in the 7th I'd take him.

Re: Derrick Dockery's brother
That's already happening in Philadelphia. They got Stacy Andrews from Cincy, and his brother Shawn is a bit upset at the contract that Stacy and Jason Peters got.

They got Stacy Andrews from Cinci. Shawn is the brother they already had.

Re: Derrick Dockery's brother
Didn't Cincy sign Carson's little brother after we cut him?

I did not get frazzled because I understand the procedure and the fact that it is just business. Besides that it just meant that she started making more money even sooner. In retrospect the move worked out well for all involved. I would be lying if I said that everyone wasn't worried about how I would react to the situation. There were people that thought that I would betray the organization over it. Initially I did feel a little betrayed myself, but after giving the situation some rational thought I understood. My boss was cool enough to talk it over with me as well realizing that I am a separate individual from my spouse. It doesn't mean that I love my wife any less, but I do not let love blind me. Although my wife was a damn good worker, there was merit to her early dismissal. It wasn't a performance or a character issue either. It wasn't even a money issue. Sometimes there are decisions that have to be made that are beneficial for all those involved. It is up to the individuals to get past the emotional part and understand the logical part. Like one of my former Platoon Sergeants used to tell me years ago. "It's nothing personal, it's all professional". |
