Dr. Z's Pre Season rankings

Noted Redskins & Snyder hater Dr. Z of CNNSI.com has the Redskins finishing at 8-8 and ranked 20th overall.. Funny thing is, that's the most respect he's paid the Redskins in years!!!

He's making us his preseason SB pick. Write it down.

Sort of surprised he has the Colts at 9-7, they're better than that aren't they?

Eh, whatever. These things mean very little to me at this time. Everyone has their own reasons why we are going to win it all, or go 5-11 again. Ive heard all of the reasons so many times at this point. Its not that often taht you find reporters that acutally offer new insight.

You know most of them say nothing about our defense, just about gibbs. i think if we do well this year our d is going to have the larger say in why we are winning.

your right, nobody gives the skins d any credit and if the skins have a good year it will be,in large part, becouse of the defense.having said that though you have to agree that the d can only be alot better than last year simply becouse WE NO LONGER HAVE STEVE SPURRIER RUNNING THE OFFENSE. Gibbs' offense will, hopefully, keep the d off the field longer than spurrier's

So Dr. Z has been tough on his evaluations of the Redskins for the past several years? And that makes him wrong?

The Redskins have been a bunch of underachieving whiners the last two years for certain and probably for the last four years. If Dr. Z was unimpressed with them and did not show them any respect, he was dead center on the target.

If anyone in the Redskins' organization complains about not getting proper respect for the past couple of years, all one needs to do is yell "SCOREBOIARD" and point to the 5-11 rrecord last year. That team was better than that!

Errm okay he is predicting us 8-8 but also 2nd in the NFCE that is a lot of love from Dr Z. I tink 8-8 would be respectable if we are seen to be better.

I have major concerns about the Dline and LB core especially and also that the O line is not 100% there yet. Equally we have not seen Portis evading tackles in the open field and we have a number of questions behind him givn it is unllikely given his work load he will remain injury free. In addition Coles is plodding along with a toe injury and none of our other recivers outside thrash are particulary proven.

So yes Dr Z is possibly even being optomistic but in the NFL absolutly anything can happen and the fact we are bein touted as an 8-8 team sujests no-one knows which way we are going to go.
