Don Banks praises our Sean Taylor and Marcus Washington. Put them on the top 10 of this preseason. Not bad!

Thats awesome. Im glad you found that link, its nice to get some credit every once in a while.

Taylor and Washington have definitly ripped it up so far this preseason. I had no doubts about taylor, and had confidence in Washington but hes definitly exceeding my expectations. I very much look forward to the washington defense this year. The last few years ive hated watching teh defense, no excitment, no playmakers. When Lewis was here their numbers were good for yards they gave up becuase the offense always gave up horrible field position. We didnt have a punter, threw picks, etc. They were good at stopping people inside the five, but there was no highlight reel. I look forward to finally seeing some big plays happen this year.

theres a big difference in talking about someones production, compared to their salary. Griffin is one of the few players on that list that has played a season with his new contract yet. We needed someone to fill in on our horrible d line, and we went after who we thought was the best available. He might not work out but if he becomes great we owe it to snyder for doing what it takes to get the guy our coaches wanted. COACHES WANTED, a big difference than the accusitions we made the first couple years synder was here.

I don't think anyone on that list can be called a bust this year becasue not one down of competitive football has been played. If Kerse provides the Eagles that extra push missing since they cut Douglas to get them to the superbowl isn't he worth the money?

If Bledsoe goes on to bounce back from a down year after setting 10 team records the previous year for passing with the Bills then isn't he worth his paycheck?

Even Warner his confidence was shot in St Louis a change of scenary could be all he needs to shine. same with Griffin and Ron Dayne could truely benifit from a change in coaching staff.

The two browns players are just examples of poor draft picks who simply have not panned out as expected I don't think there is a team in the NFL who doesn't have one of those.

The only player in the list i go so way to agreeing with is Price in Atlanta because he is miscast in a no.1 role . He looked fantastic opposite Molds with Bledsoe passing to him but he is on his own with the Falcons even so if he steps up and becomes a legit No1 option then sure he should feel ashamed on his way to the bank.

I think maybe someone should do a list of sport writters who are not worth thier paychecks...

Taken from the NFL page:
"...who is expected to exceed expectations in 2004..."

Does this sound a bit weird to anyone else?

My exact sentiment. Tying up blockers doesnt show in the stats, which is what DT's are supposed to do in many sysdems
