I can't wait for Madden, especially when there is a roster update to have the current Redskins. They will do very well, not only in Madden, but in this NFL season.

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

I can't wait till this game comes out and it seems like the skins are going to be better then they were last year in madden. It'll be interesting to see if Favre gets hit with the "Madden Curse" hopefully not (knock on wood)

Will you feel that way if he is QB for the Bucs?

Hey guys, is it necessary to preorder Madden, or can you typically walk into a store on the 12th and pick it up?

I've normally pre-ordered, but have never seen it actually out of stock for more than a day or two down here in VB.

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

The only concern on offense will be JCs Accuracy rating at 86. From what I've read the secondary will cover much better, particularly downfield this year.

EA has put in slide protection on the 360 & PS3 to minimize the instant pressure you can get up the gut. Having Taylor and AC at the DEs will be huge. You won't be able to play Cover 2 Zone and don't expect help over the top from Doughty's side in Cover 2 Man. It may boost the defense overall to see what Springs' rating at SS is and move him there.

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

i usually go to walmart at 11pm and buy it when they release it at midnight. I always see it on the shelves, but some places give you a credit when you pre order it. I saw a sign at 7-11 that gave you a 5 dollar coupon for preordering it through 711.

I'd go ahead and pre-order it...that way there is no mistake that you have a copy on Opening Day.

As long as you don't go to a game store, you should be able to pick it up. I used to go get it from Wal*Mart the day it dropped every year without ever having an issue. However, this year I have a friend who works at GameStop and gets 15% off, so I'm getting it from there this year.

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

I had a hell of a time passing with JC last year unless I ran a lot and did a lot of play action. I won a lot of games with them, but couldnt open up an offense like i can in ncaa.

(btw in ncaa georgia bulldogs are beast. I cant catch a break with wvu, even though i like playing with noel divine... but georgia can't be stopped...)

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

The Skins in Madden are looking pretty good this year. I always like to mix in 2 TE sets and with Davis on board I'm all set.

Florida is pretty tough too, although not as good on D as Georgia. Tebow is tough to stop.

Will all secondaries cover better this year, or just ours? Frankly, that's one of my biggest gripes with Madden; it's easy to pass for 400 yards on any defense and it's easy to get passed on for 400 yards with any defense. I'm tired of having the 1st ranked run defense and a piss poor pass defense (even when I have top-notch DBs).

Re: Redskins in Madden 2009

SGG you are so right! It is still a simulation of the game football and when you really think about it you have very little control of all aspects of the game (which I know is impossible).

I have said this before but this year I am not buying, I am using the sixty dollars on a diffrent game. I am sick of playing half way through a season (usually this happens around mid August) and saying to myself how is this diffrent then last years version.
