Let's talk good beer

I'm always looking to try some good micros, what are some of your favorites?

I tried this one recently, very tasty if you like a nice strong beer

Yesterday it was wine, today it's microbrews...Matty's thread for Saturday "Let's talk Scotch: Favorite Label?"

I need to think, there are so many good ones

re: Let's talk microbrews good beer

Brooklyn makes some good beers.

There is a microbrewery right down the street from my house:
Flying Dog Brewery - American Ale Craft Beer Brand Store Online
They brew Flying Dog and Wild Goose beers, both of which are very good.

Dogfish Head
Dogfish Head out of Delaware makes great beer

There a few brewpubs here in Frederick MD that make pretty decent beer. Gordon Biersch has some decent beer too.

I'll have to check both of those out, I'm pretty sure I've seen them around.

I've always wanted to know more about cigars. I really like it when a woman has a big cigar in her mouth. (oohh..that didn't sound so good)

If there are any breweries in the area, I highly recommend checking out the tours. I believe most are free, and you get to taste the beers. Flying Dog in Frederick gives you as many 8-12 oz beers as you want while before, during and after the tour. When my wife and I went, it was the largest crowd they ever had. So they did 3 tours...some people who got in never took the tour, just bellied up to the bar and drank.

I guess Redhook is considered a microbrew. Before I moved to Baltimore I was really into different styles of Redhook like Cooperhook, and their IPA. I haven't seen it anywhere around here and it's starting to anger me.

There is a beer that I've only seen on tap at two places near my house, within stumbling distance, called Resurrection that is great! It's pretty dark, lightly carbonated, and it has some bite. The great thing about it is that both of the places that I know of that serve it also have really great food, which is nice because it's probably better with food than without it.

DEFINITELY one of my favorite beers right now. That 90 minute IPA is POTENT. It's a super hoppy beer.

Have you gone to Brewer's Art on Charles Street?

Victory Brewing Company out of Downingtown PA.

Best pilsner and IPA I've ever had in my life. Even beats the Dogfishhead which I'm also a big fan of.
