Post Here!

The only thing I've heard about is an undersized, high-motor cameraman! LOL!

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

Gosder Cherilius impressed me during the practices yesterday. He was shutting a lot of guys down and managed to pancake Sedrick Ellis a few times. No one was getting by him in any reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately for most teams, he looks more like a LT (at least to me). However, if the Skins are all about getting rid of Jansen and not playing Heyer, he may an option. Although, I really hope not. I want a DE.

Haven't seen Cherilius on any 'big boards'. Is he a projected 1st rounder? We definitely need another Tackle to develop in the next few years. This sounds like a good draft to nab a o line players.

He's projected as a second rounder mostly because he struggled with the switch from right to left tackle this year. I like him left tackle, right is a different story. I don't know if I want him in round 2, if the Skins really take a CB in round 1 I want a DE in round 2, but Cherilus is the #6 rated OT by a lot of scouts.

In other news, my boy Matt Forte is representing Tulane:

In addition, Forte looks like he can make an impact in the passing game. The crispness of his cuts and the separation he created working against the linebackers during one-on-one drills was impressive. Forte also showed the ability to turn on the jets and track the ball downfield when he beat South Florida ILB Ben Moffitt deep for a reception.
NFL Draft Scout has him as a 4-5 round pick. I really like him (as many of you know, I briefly attended Tulane and I openly admit my bias). However, he had a great season and with a time of 4.56 in the 40, I think he might be able to return some kicks as well as be counted on as a third back. I think he could be an Ahmad Bradshaw type, I think some spot duty could serve him well.

I don't like taking a guy in the 3rd round at RB, but I do think the Skins should think about drafting a guy. Betts will be 29 and Clinton will be 27, but I think with the beating he takes, it's an old 27. I hope the Skins think about RB at the back end of the draft.

For clarification purposes, I misspelled his name the first time, it's Cherilus.

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

Redskins.com has complete rosters of both teams playing Sat. at 4 p.m. Est.

A couple of future Redskins might be on the field.

Guess who they are?

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

Sedric Ellis was a beast, Matt Forte RB out of Tulane looked great, same with Chauncy Washington out of USC. Trevor Laws out of Notre Dame looked pretty damn good, same with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie / Tennessee State / DB. Great game!!!

Washington looked ok but he dropped alot of screens today. I thought his stock dropped a little but I could be wrong. He did run really well late on that one drive.

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

I was hoping Colt Brennan would have a good game but he didn't do too well.....

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

Wouldn't it be something to have both of the Caldwell brothers on our receiving corps?

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

I like Lawrence Jackson, DE of USC. He has had a couple of injuries and subsequent surgeries on one of his ankles so teams might shy away from him, kind of like what happened to Rocky McIntosh a few years ago. Anyway if he's available second round I'd like to see us take a chance.

I watched some of the practices and the game yesterday. Yes, I'm that hard up for some football. Colt Brennan has no chance to make it in the pros. But the two guys that REALLY stood out to me was Trevor Laws of Notre Dame and Jackson from USC Nobody could block either of those guys. Jackson would look real nice in burgundy and gold next year. But he might be long gone by the 21st pick.

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

Jackson was at the top of the Redskins wish list back in early December, but that was before their 4 game win streak dropped them down in the draft order.

Re: Senior Bowl BUZZ!

I would love see Forte come in here and be the 3rd back if Rock gets away. I also feel like, the way he was running after the catch on the screen passes, he could probably return kicks at the next level.
