Re: Plea hearing Monday for Vick co-defendant
Are these guys the ones listed as the "cooperating witnesses" in the indictment? Or are these guys additional ammo for the feds?
Either way, Vick is done for. The evidence against him is so strong, there's absolutely no way he's getting acquitted. I'm all for innocent until proven guilty, but when you read the indictment, it's impossible to imagine how any defense lawyer can poke holes in this case.

Re: Plea hearing Monday for Vick co-defendant
Schneed:
The indictment cited 4 "cooperating witnesses". This plea agreement is with one of the co-defendants who went to Richmond for arraignment last week at the same time Michael Vick did. That means there are now 5 "cooperating witnesses". The outcome of a trial in a Federal or a State court is never knowable in advance; there needs to be only one juror who holds out for a verdict opposite to the othe eleven jurors and you get a mistrial (hung jury). In the movies, that one juror can turn everyone else around (see "Twelve Angry Men"); in real life, they just move on and try the case again. But the "court of public opinion" does not operate by the same rules as do the courts in the legal system - - and the verdict from that court of public opinion is already in.

Re: Plea hearing Monday for Vick co-defendant
I agree with Schneed, the case against Vick poses overwhelming odds that he will be convicted in a court of law. Before Nov. 26th, I look for Vick to change his plea as well. It's time for him to abandon that state of denial, and come to the realization the Govt. has a real live case against him.
