1) Alan Branch - Michigan
2) Ganes Adams - Clemson
3) Jamaal Anderson - Arkansas

Honestly, I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's a win-win-win situation. We'd be VERY hard pressed to mess this up unless we take a corner or OL.

1) Alan Branch - Michigan: Sweet! The return of the blitz to our defense! Now we have a defensive front that can stop the run and put offenses in long 2nd and 3rd downs, allowing us to get up after the QB on blitzes.

2) Ganes Adams - Clemson: I dunno, with this guy's size, I don't see how we're going to stop any RBs with two DEs under 270 pounds. Stupid pick.

3) Jamaal Anderson - Arkansas: Alright, I'll take it. Big enough to stop the run, quick enough to sack the QB. I'd rather have the DT, but this fills a need.

1) What Schneed said.

2) Gaines Adams-I like the player, but what's going to become of Andre Carter? Surely we aren't considering starting Gaines Adams at one end and Carter at the other? We are getting a great player, but we aren't maximizing the versatility of the pick.

3) I don't like the pick. He's bigger than Adams, but does that mean he's going to be any better vs the run? We still have a gap at DT, and Anderson has major bust potential. Just not enough film on him to justify taking him this high.

I'll tell you what will throw a cog in the wheel, let Calvin Johnson slip through the cracks. People at Redskins Park will start to scramble!

Does anyone know why Mel Kiper moved Alan Branch went from 7th overall to 20th? because now the 19 year old dude from louisville is the number one DT to Mel

No matter who the pick is I can't wait to see the (over)reactions here.

If Calvin Johnson falls, we'll have two options.

1) Get a really good trade for him.
2) Draft an amazing WR. Not a need, but definitely the best player available.

Worst case, put Calvin in Burgundy and Gold, and do what the Colts have done in the past..............outscore everybody else

Yea, the more i think about it, i don't know if you can pass him up & if you do pass him get some bigtime trade value.

IMO, he won't slip that far, but who knows?

CJ would be a bit of a waste (Well, he'd point out how stupid the skins were to invest 76mill$ in patten, lloyd, and el), but he's by far the safest pick and the biggest first year impact player.

imagine randy moss or TO, in their prime, only team-first, no ego, no backtalk, and a hellish blocker (for a WR, of course). I mean, the only bad thing about him was that he had reggie ball throwing him passes (talk about a waste).

If Calvin slips to six, you have to keep him. First round, you have to take the best player on the board.

Pound for pound, can anyone argue that he's the best player in the top ten?

I'd be cool with any of these guys. I haven't seen Jamal Anderson at the combine (NFL Network) but, he has awesome size for a DE. Not sure if any of these DTs are a cut above the rest entering the draft. We need more 'hold' on the the DL. Calvin Johnson still available at #6 would be a heart attack.
