Says here at the end of the article thats hes not "in the bengals plans" I think Marvin is going to do some serious house cleaning soon and make some examples out of people (Deltha O'neal). What do you guys think about signing Odell hes young a stud MLB but does have some off the feild issues. Just want to know what you all think

Re: Odell Thurman?
I don't know how I feel about it given the fact that Gibbs doesn't tolerate off the field issues very often. However, Joe might feel like he can reach the young man and try to help him grow up. If that's how Gibbs feels, I would love to have him. This kid is a beast. Also, I think getting away from Chris Henry would do him some good, I'm pretty sure they were friends, whatever the case Chris Henry is not any kind of good influence on anybody.
If Joe thinks he can reach him, sign him up! |

Re: Odell Thurman?
Dmek he is a YOUNG guy, everyone makes mistakes, and it wasnt Chris Henry bad, hes not getting in trouble over and over. He missed a drug test and got a DUI. No drug use or sale no weapons. Im pretty sure hes aware that he is going to be on a SHORT leash. I think we should get him if at all poss.

Re: Odell Thurman?
No dice on troubled players. If you can't take life (yours and that of others) seriously you aren't going to take your job seriously. I'm sorry but I'd rather not take on players whose current team doesn't want.

Re: Odell Thurman?
Yeah.. he's just young. Maybe he can hang out with Sean Taylor.
I know... that's really bad.

Re: Odell Thurman?
Odell is a young guy but without that big beefy defensive tackle clogging up blockers for him he will be like Lemar Marshall

Re: Odell Thurman?
Not to compare him to another problem child, but I recall The Danny taking a flyer on Darrell Russell and that didn't amount to anything good.

Re: Odell Thurman?
I wouldn't add him to this team any more than I'd add someone with an active case of leprosy and a staph infection.
Let him sign somewhere else and show he can be a law abiding human being for a couple of years and then the Skins can go after him when he becomes a free agent after this contract has run its course...

Re: Odell Thurman?
I got a DUI when I was 21. We all screw up when we are young. However the drugs concern me. Plus he's been sitting around doing nothing for a year. I'd leave him alone.
