Napoleon Harris at MLB?
Looks like Napoleon Harris' contract voids this season, and it doesn't seem likely he will return to the Vikings. So how about picking him up? He probably won't be looking for a huge contract and he is a decent player.

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
He was a big disappointment in Oakland and early in his Vikings career. But, he's supposedly been developing nicely recently. I know he's pretty athletic, but I don't know whether he's "football smart."

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
If we can get him at the right price bring him in here. Better than any options we have in the middle. Solid against the run. But before we go looking for FA's the FO had better do some freakin research! Must be a reason the Raiders and Vikings don't want the guy.

We need an impact player, not another Warrick Holdman type.

This sounds intriguing. He is pretty young too.

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
I don't care who we get really as long as he is willing to be a vocal leader on the field and capable of directing the other guys on defense. You know...Pierce-like. If Harris isn't this type of guy then he can go waste someone else's money.

GW's system seems to need the mlb to be in command of the playbook & able to voice it. I don't think that's Marshall's style as much. |

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
Is'nt he the guy that was on the other side of the Randy Moss trade...Moss later dissed him by saying that he was "traded for someone that he had never heard of".

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
Hey at least he's a solid starter that is familiar with the position...that is still better than the converts we tried to throw in there this year. i say if we can get him for a little over a million a year, lets go for it.

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
i seriously doubt he'll go that cheap. If so, it'd be stupid not to bring him in.

Re: Napoleon Harris at MLB?
If I was going after a free agent, I'd make a serious run at Vonnie Holliday, thus giving us the luxury of not HAVING to draft Branch.
It would make trading down more palatable and allow us to pick up two defensive prospects on the first day. But Miami won't give him up without a fight. |
