Did Gibbs take over play calling in the second half?

..... or Don Breaux? It was clearly a Joe Gibbs offense in the second half. I'm wondering if Saunders in fact called the plays after the half? Oh, and anybody wanting Gibbs out.....too bad! He's staying until he rights the ship and we won today because we played old fashioned, Joe Gibbs football.....along with our defense returning to the form of 04-05!

I liked the fact that they threw on 3rd down there at the end. It was poorly executed but it sends a great message about their confidence in Campbell. It says "we intend to win".

I also liked Duckett running the stretch play. Beautiful.

Gibbs did i believe if you watched him on the sidelines when they would have the cameras on him. He was clearly involved. Run, run, run, big pass. Kudos to Campbell for coming back out and going down the field after the int. Defense finally showed up today. A little to late but it is glad to enjoy it. 8-8

I doubt he was calling the plays, but I bet he told Saunders what type of plays to call.

The 2nd half playcalling looked like it was called by Gibbs, but who knows.

I think Gibbs didn't call the plays, i just believe he told Saunders how he wanted it done and that's the way Saunders drew it up.

Re: Did Gibbs take over play calling in the second half?

Then if Gibbs told Saunders what type of offense scheme to call in the second half, then why have Saunders?

Re: Did Gibbs take over play calling in the second half?

I was just watching the replay of Cooley's long TD. It looked like a re-enactment of 70 Chip once he makes the catch. If we could get a ground level photo it would be ever so cool.

Also, as he made his victory lap around the corner of the endzone it looked like some of the cheerleaders turned their backs on him. Those broads need to remember that it takes two to tango and let bygones be bygones.

More: WRC TV 4 here in Washington reported that on the long pass to Cooley, Campbell's headset malfunctioned and Campbell called that play himself. That's big nuts by him considering it was 3rd and 8 and an absolutely critical play in the game.

This is exactly what happened. On Triple X radio they had a correspondent ask that same question. Al called the plays all game, but they all speculate that Gibbs told Saunders what kinda plays he wanted this game.

I liked the aggressiveness of passing there but I really thought they should have ran and forced them into taking another TO.
