Betts has the most market value.

Re: RB's are worried in Washington
I could see Betts being traded by Monday. Look at T.J Duckett's stats for four years compared to Betts and their is no comparison at all. Betts just couldn't stay healthy and I didn't like his performance against the Seahawks in the playoffs either. Jesse Lumsden definitely has a chance to make the practice squad or even the team if he has a great showing this Saturday. I was very impressed with his running ability against the Ravens during the scrimmage.

Why do you say now, rather than next week or the end of preseason? At this point, I don't think he would pass a team's physical with a nagging hamstring pull.

No doubt. I agree. Just can't see us getting a lot for him at this point. Philly seems to be the most desperate for a running back when you see them considering Stephen Davis for the RB spot.

Re: RB's are worried in Washington
I still don't see why we made this trade. We all heard how happy the coaching staff was w/ Betts and you have a guy behind him that's serviceable in Rock. I guess you kinda feel bad for L. Betts, participating in the voluntary offseason programs, and potentially being pushed aside for someone new. I've always thought Duckett could be a starter somewhere though. There are only so many plays in a game, someone is going to be left out.
It also, is sad to hear everyone saying trade Betts now. I don't know about everyone else, but i've always trade to "side" with a guy that has been drafted by the skins and wants to be hear. |

Re: RB's are worried in Washington
Well this is the ugly side of the Skins, the constant revolving door. I am not crying though because it is for the better but I dont like hearing the RB's saying "Its a slap in the face" They say this game is a business and there is no other owner in the league with a better dare to do business than Snyder.
I wouldnt get rid of Betts until the preseason is over maybe even till after the Dallas game. Its hard to even know what we would want because we dont who is daring enough to take on Betts. We need to get a wiretap going out of Redskin Park.

Re: RB's are worried in Washington
Didn't Gibbs use to have Byner, Riggs and ???. I can't remember that other backs name, but he reminds me a lot of Betts. Portis, Duckett, and Betts would be even a better threesome than Gibbs used to win his last superbowl. I don't think Betts is gone for sure.

I'm not convinced the team is going to trade Betts unless they feel it's not going to possible to sign him to an extention. It will be easier to sign Betts than Duckett, so if we trade Betts now, this time next year we could be right back to square one. I'm really interested in seeing how all this is going to pan out. |

Re: RB's are worried in Washington
Ricky Irvins was the third RB with that trio. But my Favorite Backs were Riggins, Washington and Wonsley. We have not had a bruising back who can run with the intensity of a T.J. Duckett in a long time.
