What a Next Gen Football Game ought to be

I think there should ultimately be a gritty real game that brings the NFL closer and more intelligently, and make it be Madden but Madden +17 not for inappropriate content but rather intermediate executiion. Since I feel I will never be apart of this creation hopefuly I plant the seeds of the future.

There are a lot of subtle moves needed for this project that I would implement. First, there would be a strategy guide needed to buy that actually is a playbook. Automatic additional sale and extra item retailers would for once would be able to sell. It would be tabbed, and on the sides be color coded langauage.you could slip your desired playbook into a transparent page with the undisguiseable language used in your own determined context. Imagine if people could interact together testing their football or coaching knowledge using a language similiar to the pros.

A few moments can be spent before the game entering your desired language section possibly with text or digit formula (dont let the unknown equation boggle your mind stay with me) So you hold in your hands a one of a kind Language, similulating the cadences and play calling.

This feature could be used both in a coaching aspect/ playablity aspect/ booth function aspect/ and a collection of whatever youd prefer.

Booth
By using the headset you can send in the call from the Booth to the field (which would relay in cool cutscenes and never before angle of how teams perform). The booth could have different accessible features on how to decide what would be the best next play ie. like stat trackers that show the other team is running be it towards the strong side, early on downs, or only when the defense shows blitz. These are what they decide and adjust to in games.

Playability
Voice recognizable that responds to your voice that has chosen the play from your stat guide. Then in a cut scene, the quartback relays the play to the team in huddle and/or at the line sounding like "Black Gator 32 weasel snap on 3" or "2 Green B Duck A Rock Push double slant"(Its a working idea but you can get the gist). Its time we become NFL players.
Maybe these features would be better served for PC games that would be sold individualy to be able to posses to the fullest of each entity. That would bring about an online experience that could include 3 players to a team or even get it a step closer to 11 vs 11 allowing for online leagues to develop. Look at the success of fantasy footballers, people would be involved in this. Leading to multiple product sales b/c I think people will pay for quality, $ is no issue. This would be a cultural revolution in the gaming industry paving the way for other genres.

Misc. additions- 1.Trades for cash, 2. Option at half-time to evaluate and be given choices what you want to focus on such as what are we/them effectively doing pass/rush defense vulnerability, 3.Throwback games, 4. Pro Bowl weekend w/ fun drills like QB drills/HBTire relay/cones/All races/and competitions, ( NBA LIVE 05 did the same thing and put a spark into into its sales) 5. in game voice reaction for subs, 6. no more soundtracks give the option for your own soundtrack in game, 7. sideline heaters/bikes for injury prevention, 8. Fantasy football for your in game franchise as a side feature.

So much of this really involves players to take it to the next level. Video games are good b/c it keeps husbands, dorks, and kids at home and out of trouble and sports brings people together who would normally probably not care about the other person and end up killing in the street or beefin in their corporate office. In this case if they beef at least its over an online ass whoopin in a mans battle.

I'll say again these additions would be a revolutionary change bringing about realism, excitement, and a closeness to the game that can only be experienced by those teams of the NFL. The NFL is complex and has its own language secret and foreign to opposers. Strategy guides would maximize profit and for once have a purpose giving retailers an added IPT. If all the coach, booth, and players are on the field we could have multiple players working together assisting and working toward winning possibly in leagues with prizes or bragging rights thus enabling everyone in the US to be able to qualify for their own Madden Tournaments and never have to leave their couch. Fear not of this radical idea or move aside, 2006 is here and where is the progression heading toward, change comes eventually and this is it. If it sounds too involved TV timeouts length can be used to tweak or adjust personnel. All Madden games took away fun things like late hits b/c the NFL doesnt want to send the wrong message to kids. Yet these men get paid millions to play a game and we have to sit and listen to commentators talk when a mic can be put on the field so we can hear them, the reason we are intently watching. If they are important enough to be put on a shoe deal than why cant we hear them playing?? If they are role model, let me hear why. So much can be said and done like all that I have said, I hope this gets out to the right people who make games and make it happen. Hopefully, this idea will be embraced tell me what you think of my "Baby" I'd like to hear your thoughts b/c this will not end.

Pretty good ideas. It would be tough to do, so EA will NEVER do it, but I like most of that.

Re: What a Next Gen Football Game ought to be

you know a lot of the things you complain about are already fixed right? you can turn the soundtrack off or use your own already (for at least 3 years), and madden stat trackers already exist (3rd party) to let you run FF off of them. You can also buy new a training staff and stadium upgrades for injury prevention and treatment. I don't know what you mean by throwback games, but you have past teams already and some of the old uniforms.

you can already look at team stats running right/left/center etc etc during the game.

requiring an addition $50 guide to be able to play the game and requiring every player to spendd a hundred hours memorizing it is going to sell you about 0 copies of a game. Voice recognition is also not good enough or fast enough (when running a 3d engine in parallel) to be useful in games yet. It's not a revolution, it's asking for a multi-million dollar project trying to make a game with zero chance of commercial success.

I wouldn't mind seeing 11v11 online though or whatnot, that's something i've also wanted.

Good lets get back on track 11vs 11 is my dream, stat tracking how non-user friendly- its hardly even used in context- it could be used in a newer presentation which has to advance.

I dont know where your get your facts from. $50 Guide- strat guides go for about $15 and you save 20% of it when you buy the game. I appreciate your reply but dont add your words or price depiction to my vision. Memorizing is not needed as I thought I clearly pointed out that you would be enabled to simply glance at the book and recite the play, simple. Yes, voice recognition is not there yet and then you have to account for foreigners accents and mumblers whatever. Thats what revolution, its a radical change that often is goes against the mainstream. I am not suggesting totally replacing Madden I know simple minded folks want to plug in and pass the pig ball to the fast guy and score a HOMERUN. This would be, again, a revolutionary concept for able minds. Think outside the box dude. Dont be a consumer whore this fall. Its okay to question the world we live in. Questioning is the begining phase of a revolution regardless.

The first law in metaphysics seems to be the everything that is ..was first an idea. Thoughts and ideas manifest. This chair Im sitting on was preconcieved, this lamp was predetermined, product doesnt simple spawn from a magical lake- its ideas that get tossed around until its solid. The 360 I think is capable, though for the time they would need to get on board would be just about time for the ps4 in about 4-5 years, also when the EA exclusive deal comes to an end and will be up in the air. Holla.

Re: What a Next Gen Football Game ought to be

metaphysics is crap and calling someone a whore or sheep for not agreeing with you is completely retarded. you can't just glance at a guide when you need to find the specific kind of play you want and time is ticking down.

You ask me not to assume and them proceed to assume i'm a consumer whore or unquestioning lamb? maybe i just think your idea sucked compared to what's already available and think spending $100mill or whatever production budget it would take would be a total waste.

A revolution in football gaming (for me) would be if they made a game where I could actually complete more than 2 passes a game.

luckily for you (and me), madden 07 turns off the cone by default. it wasn't the greatest implementation ever (too hard to control your eyes while also moving, especially on a keyboard) and most people are pretty down on it.

Luckily cone has a purpose of being able to put the ball on the spot and you can use it to your advantage to look off safeties. It was put in b/c too often players would run to one side of the field and throw no look on the me tight spirals that lead to completions and wackness.

Dont worry about the consumer whore thing dood. Wheres your sense of humor?

it died a fiery napalm death back in 'nam.

and maybe looking off guys works on a controller, but on the keyboard all vision cone means is you pick a player and that's the only guy you'll be able to throw to without embarassing yourself... though everyone is going to know it and crowd the target. Not a good deal. Hitstick and playmaker already didn't work (they weren't useable) with a keyboard, and then this too.

well, i could get a ps2 controller through usb, but madden should let you customize controls, like say every other game made in the last 10 years, (i'm not great with controllers).

Crappy fixed controls made by some CS intern who's never actually had to use them is the suck.
