Green Bay had a good first draft day??
According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports they did
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns THE WINNERS Arizona Cardinals – It may not translate onto the field, but Dennis Green sure has a way of looking great on draft day. After landing what was thought to be one of the best draft classes last season, Green shot to the top of the charts again this year. Not only did he land Mr. Golden Boy, Matt Leinart, but he also added massive guard Deuce Lutui in the second. For good measure, he pounced on Leonard Pope in the third round – a player some teams had rated as the No. 1 tight end. Green Bay Packers – The Packers needed an infusion of talent, and just by sheer bulk alone, they may have had the best first day of the draft. Selecting five players in the first 75 picks is always a nice luxury, and Green Bay picked up some quality talent. The Packers added two of the best linebackers in the country in A.J. Hawk and Abdul Hodge to their porous defense, then accentuated their first-day picks with some lesser-known talent like Daryn Colledge, Greg Jennings and Jason Spitz – three players who could all contribute as early as next season either as starters or special-teams players. Tennessee Titans – From a ticket standpoint, the Titans landed marketing whoppers with their lone pair of picks on Day 1. Watch reruns of the na..........

Re: Green Bay had a good first draft day??
and oh yeah guess who is a part of the losers in his eyes
----- Washington Redskins – The Redskins traded three draft picks – including their second-rounder in 2007 – to move up 18 spots and draft Roger McIntosh in the second round. This is supposed to soothe the pain of letting LaVar Arrington go. We'll see.

Re: Green Bay had a good first draft day??
I guess it's hard to rate any team a winner when they only had one pick in the first three rounds. Not to mention they had to let go of a second rounder next year to get that one pick.

Re: Green Bay had a good first draft day??
G-nomes & Squeelers: Go figure!
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....losers/1.html NEW YORK GIANTS The Giants traded quality for quantity. They sent their No. 25 pick to Pittsburgh in exchange for the Steelers' No. 32 pick, plus a third- and fourth-rounder this year. Good move? Not really. Mathias Kiwanuka was a standout pass rusher at Boston College, but as an NFL defensive end he'll have to put on some significant weight in order to not get pushed around by behemoth offensive tackles. I don't think we got stiffed for McIntosh. Look what the Squeelers did!

The Bills were the first team that made me laugh out loud on draft day.

Re: Green Bay had a good first draft day??
As for the Pack, I love the picks of Hodge and Hawk.......but passing on Chad Jackson within minutes of losing Walker was kinda stupid.

Minnesota took Ryan Cook and Tarvaris Jackson in the second round...i couldnt stop laughing at both of those picks. They were both projected in like the 4th round. They ended up trading Culpepper for a backup center and then they drafted his replacement (who will be horrible) with another 2nd round pick they had The Bills first round was a reach. Donte Whitner and John McCargo both would have fallen farther...and they traded up to get McCargo. Then their 3rd and 4th round picks were good though taking Ashton Youboty and Ko Simpson |
