Question 3 (I asked Gibbs a question)

Be honest, did I ask a tough enough question for Coach Gibbs? I hope that I didn't disappoint. I was the 3rd caller on the show....

Dude, for the benefit of those who didn't get to hear it, just tell us what the hell your question was. Otherwise this thread is going nowhere.

Re: Question 3

WEWHITE3, if your going to inquire as to what we thought of your question then you should have started the thread off by telling us what you had asked coach gibbs. it just would have made things a lot easier. not everyone is going to listen to it on the internet, especially if it is long. thats why the ones who hear it live come on the warpath and give an over view as to what was said during the interviews. now that i finally know what you asked, i think that it was a very good question. what response did you get back from gibbs ?

Let's not start anything or go anywhere...let's just remember that one reason we have this forum is to share information that others may not be privy to. Not everyone was able to listen to the radio show and we shouldn't assume that everyone did. It was a good question but most of us just didn't know what the question was

Re: Question 3

I thought that it was a good question, that has an answer that most casual Skins fans don't understand. Some feel the world is falling in because we lost Freddy by a mere $300k, when in reality the difference is much greater in the short term.

Q: "Did we let Fred Smoot walk away for a mere $300k?"
A: "No way, absolutely not"

Coach then talks about being stable, not losing current players, only lost 3 over the past 3 years. Tried to avoid FA by making 'very good' offer, but went to FA anyway. The offer the Vikes made was millions more than what the Skins could offer. Can't go overboard on one player at the cost of other players. Worried about losing more players. Must balance salaries on your team of same positions. Just didn't work out for us, wish Fred the best. Don't want it to ever happen again in the future. Goal is to be the most stable organization in the league, and thinks we're well on the way. Still need to do a better job to not lose anyone.

The tone was much the same as used during afternoon tea ...

held outside, during a rainstorm ...

Hosted by Daseal ...

Attended by Matty, Curmudgeon, Cpayne and Offiss ...

with refreshments provided by Angryss ...

and a seminar on political correctness given by wewhite ...

followed by a lesson on capology by Canuck ...

a brief presentation of Brunnell highlights by Ramseyfan ...

followed by Shane's lecture "What Bush has done correctly and why"...

Closing it all off with sweet guitar licks from Skins and Luxor, vocals by SammyBaughFan.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! <falling to my knees, arms upraised> I just didn't realize this was such a difficult task. Now I can die in peace.

That whole "Q:....; A: ...." format recommended by TAFKAS is REVOLUTIONARY!!! Sheer brilliance! Perhaps others may try it in the future when refering to questions offered on radio call in shows.
