Who hasn't been beaten by Cox? Cox is a great player.

That was supposed to be the 2023 strategy OL, LB and CB. Ron and his front office are idiots.

But what I will kill him over is his weak explanation saying the offense was gassed. Fuck that man, as head coach you own the decision.
You can call it weak, but I appreciate the honesty. He assessed the situation and made a decision he felt was best. At least he didn't flip a coin. Sounds like it was 50/50 on the sideline with regard to what everyone expected him to do. I'm fine with it. They got the ball and had the first chance to win. But they didn't.

The first four picks (out of seven) were secondary and o-line.

My bad. I guess the flip side of that is if you don't trust them to make one play how do you trust them to make a 75 yard drive? Regardless I am not upset by the decision. I would have liked the gamble but think going to OT is also fair. I've just been waiting to tell you to go eat some brillat-savarin when we disagree on something. So took my shot.

he may have cost us last nights game . . . the snap on that final punt was horrible and caused Way to have one of his worse punts of the year in a crucial situation. while it didn't directly cost us the game is sure gave philly good field position on that last drive.

True, but who did they ignore to take who they did? Forbes was a good pick (though maybe I'd have taken Gonzalez instead), but after that? Martin? Mauch or trading back would probably be better choices. Stromberg maybe best at that point (debatable) but if we'd traded back, we'd have had more picks and more options. Daniels, better than Carter Warren?

Yes 4 of 7 were DB and OL, but we probably passed up on better options that would have properly bolstered our OL and LB corps. Both were sorely in need and they still are.

I was pointing out the strategy, not whether the particular picks will pan out, which we may not know for some time.

Re: Eagles Postgame

Anyway, who are we to say what was "supposed to be" the 2023 strategy.

The strategy is to get better - period. Lots of ways to do that, and thousands more ways to pick those decisions apart

I 100% agree with this and then some. And he is going to have some more rough patches but I don't care. He more than passes the eye test. That was some big boy shit yesterday, especially on that last drive. That is exactly what you look for in your QB.

Should have picked a T earlier than the 4th round. Mason Brooks played T in college, they should develop him to play T instead of inside ASAP.

Completely ignored LB and those Oline picks were reaches. Especially Daniels. The Martin pick was a reach too. Bottom line is we need a GM.
