Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!

Is there a good free simulator (7 round with trades) out there that assesses/grades your picks? (Noticed you have to pay PFF if you want the assessment). I know there used to be one I used but for the life of me can't remember where that was.

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!

If we didn't have Howell, I'd be all aboard drafting Hooker. Even trading up into the 1st for the 5th year.

So I'd be OK with the pick, and think the value would be great overall, but not for our team specifically. I'm pulling for Hooker. But I hope we go somewhere else in Round 2.

I'd rather give Howell a chance, improve the rest of the team this year, then draft a QB next year if Howell doesn't pan out.

I think hooker, howell and jacoby is a great competition this summer. If none work out then you go into next year with a new owner and job #1 is finding that guy at QB and most likely a new HC and staff; this way they pick their guy at QB

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!

The biggest problem with Hooker, for me, is he's not healthy. He tore his ACL in November. There wouldn't be competition "this" year. At best he could start / play mid-season, but he may not play at all until 2024. So if you're drafting him, it's for the future...and if you need him in the "future" that means Howell / Brissett didn't pan out - which means this coaching staff is gone... Do their replacements want / like Hooker?

Nah, for me - unless they trade back or trade Sweat for a bunch of additional draft picks - I want them to just focus on the rest of the roster. Leave the QB position for 2024 - if required.

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!

Hooker is 25 , SH is 22 which is crazy but we've seen this before.

I'm all for taking him but we have other needs like OL , DB , LB, CB.

2nd round if he's there then fine or trading back into the late 1st and adding a 2nd

I personally would pass on Hooker, something Jamf would never pass on

Try this, the trade scenarios are a bit loopy but it is free. What the grades are worth is questionable but I wouldn't put too much faith in them

Watching this video of Commies coaches coaching up players at the Senior Bowl, two things stick out to me. Travelle Wharton, former o-lineman for the Panthers with Ron and current Commies asst. o-line coach, has dropped a ton of weight from his playing days. And Maurice Jones-Drew, former stud running back, has gained so much weight from his playing days. Amazing.

Good watch on what goes on behind the scenes at the combine too.

Re: It's Officially Draft Season Baby!

I used PFN simulator and while I think it pops up some unbelievable trades, I decided to take treat this run like the trades were realistic. Asides from the Giants proposal, they didn't seem far fetched this time.

29 Anton Harrison OT Oklahoma
Trade 25th with Saints #29 and OC C.Ruiz
50 Drew Sanders LB Arkansas
Trade 49th with Buccs #50 and #252
57 DJ Turner CB Michigan
Trade #16 with Giants (yeah right?) #25 and #57
97 Sam LaPorta TE Iowa
118 Kyu Blu Kelly CB Stanford
150 McClendon Curtis OG Chattanooga
193 Ali Gaye EDGE LSU
215 Max Duggan QB TCU
233 Puka Nacua WR BYU
251 Anfernee Orji LB Vanderbilt
Trade #47 with Steelers #49 and #251
252 Mark Evans II OG Arkansas Pine-Bluff
