Sounds like Cowher is out: Bill Cowher: 'Highly unlikely' I'll coach in near future - NFL.com
Really too bad -- I would have loved to see this. You know he would get our D playing better ball, and he's a serious motivator. Would have all kinds of cred with players and likely be able to get very strong assistants. Sigh. |

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
From the standpoint of assembling a staff, getting a head start on free agency & draft prep, making internal roster decisions yes, it can have a negative effect. But, as Matty said, if he's your guy then it shouldn't matter as much.

Bisaccia intrigues me. Hire a paesano!
or go throw 10 mil a year at Les Miles. I love his passion. |

Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?
There is no way that Dan Snyder is going to hire a virtually unknown coach to lead his team. The new coach is going to be a big name. I just don't know which one.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Redskins are flying under the radar while they are putting together a deal for David Shaw or Chucky.

I would bet on these candidates, in the following order: 1. Wisenhut 2. Cowher 3. Jay Gruden 4. Jon Gruden 5. Jim Caldwell
