Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?
We are at least good on some years, and Detroit falls apart at the end, while we keep growing better. We are different, and a 30 point win this season says enough.

Sometimes I feel like some people cream themselves when this team starts doing things differently because then it's time to whip out the, "This organization sucks" argument.

Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?
After thinking about this a little, the disturbing similarity between the Skins & Lions is Matt Millen v. Vinny Cerrato.
Cerrato has more credentials by far, but during his time here he's been associated w/bad moves, much like Millen has. We don't know to what extent vinny was responsible, whereas Millen is the GM in Detroit & has been a very public figure in making deals & draft picks. If JLC's latest blog is true (see "a new era") & Vinny is in fact making most of the decisions, then we'll have to give him a couple years to evaluate him. That's only fair IMO. Millen would've been fired by now most anywere else. If Vinny does that poorly we'll see if the danny holds on to him, cause by then Detroit might be better than us. Overall, save for Gibbs' 4 years, this team was heading into an abyss similar to Detroit's. (btw, Detroit seems on the right track now) |

Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?
The thing I want to know is what was Vinnys role in finding and evaluating the following players:
M. Washington C. Cooley C. Rogers S. Taylor over Kellen Winslow Laron Landry A. Montgomery S. Heyer L. Fletcher B. Lloyd A. Randel El A. Archuleta A. Carter R. McIntosh and So on.
