Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
Through week two last year we were 1-1. (Bucs & Giants)
JD had 410 passing yards with 0 TDs; and 26 carries for 132 yards and 2 TDs. Through two games this year we are 1-1. (Giants & Packers) JD has 433 passing yards with 3 TDs; and 18 carries for 85 yards and 0 TDs Different opponents obviously... I would argue this year - tougher opponents so far. My point is: put away the panic button. I want to dress this team down too, and point out all the things they could do better, etc... but it's week 2. Like Aaron Rodgers would say R E L A X... ![]() If they lay an egg in 10 days against Las Vegas at home. Then get out the panic button... |

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
Our top 2 is above average. But the rest of the WR room is well well well below average. We need multiple upgrades to that position imo.

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
If we had made one of those missed FGs, we'd still have a shot.
If the home team is fairly solid-to-good, then they generally win these short week Thirsday night games. It's still early, but i have a feeling we'll see Green Bay again. Unfortunately, tonight also came at a cost by likely losing Wise and Ekeler for the remainder of the season. Hopefully, Coleman is okay. Did he ever return? |

Right side of the line sucks. Heard to dump on Conerly since he is facing monsters but he isn’t good enough right now.
Lattimore is hanging on for his life. No more burst. Looks heavy for a corner. Offence to gimmicky |

Team Grades:
F- They all get a fucking F for this game. Absolute trash by the players and coaches. What a dismal effort.

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
When you chose to do the veteran players 1-2 years deals this is the risk you take.
I kept saying this offseason to address the RB room. Bill showing promise, but we needed something else. But I guess that doesn’t matter if KK doesn’t choose to run the ball. When your pass pro is being challenged, move it on the ground. We dropped back way too much in the first half

Shit show.
I had to rub my eyes to make sure it wasn't Ron Rivera on the sidelines and Eric Bienemy calling the plays! Just completely out-coached on both sides of the ball.

Packers are just better. That looked like a SB team to me. It's early but they're stacked. They've drafted well and getting Parsons may put them over the top. He was a menace all night long.

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
If they play like they did last night; then they aren’t a playoff team. The next 2 weeks are must wins. If we lose against the Raiders, it’s 5 alarm fire.
One thing they were talking about Kliff and how he eventually stalls. Mentioned his tenure in Arizona. Let’s hope that isn’t the case. |

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
This. A lot of really good teams have a bad game a year. This was clearly ours. I despise Thursday night games. It's just not enough of a break with how mercilessly physical this league is. I know the league doesn't care. Adjustments/rest will help. Not giving up on this year, but this loss stings.

Re: Commanders @ Packers Game Week/Thread
The sky isn't falling but the Packers are the youngest team in the league. We are the oldest. Peters has gotten this team a lot better so you gotta give him credit there. But we probably still can't compete w/ the elite teams. I put the Packers there right now. Them, the Eagles, Ravens, Bills.. we'll see about KC. I think they take a step back, as does the Lions. But we just aren't as good as those top 4 teams.
We looked so slow last night. Not sure if it was the short week, our wr's could not get open. They ran Lattimore all over the place and went right at him. He's just a guy at this point. And Jordan Love? The league may be kinda sleeping on him. He threw some dimes last night. |
