Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
5 games in. Our best reasonable expectation was 3-2 and we are 2-3.
But everything is trending in the wrong direction. Defense seems unfixable. On offense we again have backup level play at QB. I thought if we just hold water until around week 10, get Fitz back and let the D figure itself out, maybe we can sprint to the finish line with the last 5 games against NFCE. Boys are 4-1. Looking at the conference, we would need to get to 11 wins to hope for playoffs. 5 games in and I dont care about the micro anaylsis anymore. Who gives a shit about whether a play was quarters or single high. How many snaps so and so got. Efficiency running right vs left. It doesnt matter. 5 games in .. and its a dead man walking season. |

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
This system is broke ..Obviously it starts with Owner and the Toxic situation that has been here for years .. bringing in one aging vet Qb after another hoping it will work ( it has not) , Letting good players go for another supposedly upgrade has not worked( Moreland gone and Jackson not so good) also Missing opportunities to land Franchise QB .. so what if you whiff on a pick .. how could it get any worse than it is ? Matt Jones is somebody that was in a reasonable position that we could have gone after .. at least try . Our Davis pick this year and a high pick next year lands us a potential Franchise QB .. instead we got Davis who is struggling .. This team has to realize it’s not close to being good ..if we win 5-6 games I’ll be amazed

I was watching the Davis Mills highlights during the game and then I watch the play of Jamin Davis. It’s just frustrating

Payne has been playing well lately, I would offer him, Ionnadis, Dyami Brown and 2 1st rounders for Deshaun Watson. Doesn't mean the Texans will take the deal.

Three consecutive quarterbacks (Josh Allen, Matt Ryan, and Jameis Winston) have thrown four touchdowns against Washington, a historic level of failure matched by only three defenses in the history of the league. Others: 2011 Giants, 1986 Oilers, 1980 49ers.

The secondary rebuild has been a complete failure. Landon Collins has been a major bust

Same goes for big mouth Mccain and Jackson, they all blow. Never should have cut Moreland who was a sure tackler.

It doesn't matter what we were to offer to the Texans, he has a no-trade clause and he's not going to come here...unless we were literally the ONLY option which is not going to be the case.

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
2 areas everyone said needing upgrade
- coverage LB - FS I dont know if it is hubris or just not finding the right fit but those 2 positions are killing us so far. We drafted a rookie, okay fine with that. Instead of adding a true FS .. we added another SS in McCain -------------- Fuller needs to move to FS Collins needs to play ST |

Re: The Bad Coaching, Offense, and Defense Post-Game Thread
and here is our answer...
Ron Rivera made it very clear: no changes on D with scheme change/coaching moves, etc. "That makes no sense to me right now." Keim

He said that? Honestly I really have had enough of this guy. Not only is he a poor coach, but he seems to be in deep deep denial about it. He must think we just started watching football also. I used to preface these comments with “he is a nice guy” and all that jazz but so is my Dad and I don’t ever want him coaching my football team because of that. Does he realize his seat is getting warmer? I mean for God sakes Ron bench someone (named Landon Collins), or fire someone. Take play calling away from someone. Curse out the damn dude selling expensive beers. Anything. Just enough with this “i see improvement “ bullshit. Either he is a fucking liar or he is more god damn oblivious to what is transpiring in game than what I thought. |
