Re: Hawks post game

As long as we get our guys back and we don't have anymore big injuries, we will compete for the WC

When you start rolling out you then start asking your lineman to do more which he probably (for good reason) is not comfortable asking them to make those plays.

Imo Grudens playcalling has been an issue since he got here. There have been a couple games where I thought he “got it” but only to be followed up by a game full of head scratching moments. I agree though with the current situation injuries are limiting his options.

Clock error set up Seahawks’ Hail Mary – ProFootballTalk

Refs fucked up the clock on the last play and they probably shouldn’t have gotten the Hail Mary off.

FFS, why do we have multiple refs on the field, a replay booth with assisting officials and then a official rules tv analyst who can’t seem to do their fucking job ever or even have an inkling of what is the right call is? This seems to be a continuous fucking issue?

Inexcusable.

Re: Hawks post game

Sounds like it was the clock operator's fault. No harm no foul, but yeah we definitely would have been screwed if that was a td catch.

I noticed the booth announcers were screwing up calls like that all game. First by showing Scherff in uniform at the start and implying he had started and had to leave the game because he got reinjured, then at the end when they called it an incomplete pass instead of down by contact. And the refs got the call correct on the field too, it never should've been a clock stoppage.

Re: Hawks post game

If Hall doesn't play another down the rest of the season, his season was a success breaking up that hail mary. I hate Seattle, that would have been devastating.

But isn’t replay is too first determine the rule of the play and then to properly spot the ball...lastly to determine the time clock?

Much like they let a lot of the turnovers play thru to the end, clock operators should err toward a running clock. You can always add back time. You can't take take away executed plays thru replay.

Checked. Definitely Clemmings on the safety. Bad vision.

Have to wait for his film breakdown, but Cooley did said Hall appears to have blown coverage on the Baldwin TD.

well you could see on the replay that Norman totally whiffed on his jam and Baldwin went right by him. Not sure if he was expecting help or not but it sounded like Norman took the blame himself.

I blame Gruden for the play call. He has to know that his line is already weak and is going to have some mental errors, so don't call a drop back that close to the goaline. He could or should have called a play action or had Cousins on the move there.

We should be putting the ball in someone gut to run power or off tackle against an aggressive front...which hit our QB 19 times on drop backs which resulted in 6 sacks.

But we cant even do that because Pissrine is fumbling the handoff.

We need to work on the Running game or simply start CT. Put a threat back so at least the defense has to be distracted by his presence.

Yeah yeah Norman whiffed but it appears Hall was supposed to provide safety help and blew it. Double whiffing. ..
