As for the McNabb deal what I'd always heard and believe mentioned is that Bruce got wind of the opportunity to acquire McNabb (I think during the combines) approached both Snyder and Shanahan about it. Snyder loved the idea and Mike Shanahan did not. Kyle especially did not
Thank you for that. It's nice to know, in a sad way, that Bruce was responsible for the McNabb debacle.

Pretty evident Shanny was right; owner, gm, Qb and coach not on the same pages...its called dysfunction folks

Looks like Shanny's redemption tour is working as a lot of people are eating up everything he's saying.

Must be nice not to take responsibility over anything, just point the finger, and have everyone believe you.

I think it's fantastic that Gruden got in front of this thing and named RGIII starter right away. That way, there is no offseason distractions. Let RGIII know that the ball is in his court, and he's the man. Allow him to rise above or implode in preseason.

And yes, could be a smoke screen to up his value in case there is a trading partner.

Re: Next years QB

I don't get the "there's no distractions" talk. This team has won 7 games in two years. Everyone outside of 71, 46, 11, 88 and 91 should have to compete for their jobs. I'd have competition everywhere, not just at QB.

As far as Shanahan, I know he may be a bit insecure. But who are you going to believe. A two time SB winner who's still well respected around the league? Who knows what it takes to win a SB? Or a owner who's a loser at football and a spoiled, entitled underperforming QB?

If Shanahan was so respected, he'd be a head coach right now or running a team.

I just love how people are eating up his little mud flinging tour. Shanahan can go to f*cking hell for all I care. He was another one of Danny's terrible/horrible mistakes. He did his share of f*ck ups with the team and will never admit to his mistakes since it is easy to blame it on the moron that hired him.

Maybe Mike Shanahan should just forget about the NFL and enter into the ranks of the NCAA division 1and coach.. Other than him becoming a GM for any team other than the Redskins or Broncos, there appears to be no more chances for him as a head coach in the NFL.

Shanahan the GM is the problem. If he woud just stick with coaching and not wear to many hats then he MIGHT get back to winning. Giving up GM duties worked wonders for Mike Holmgren when he was in Seattle. He had the same struggles as Shanny. When he handed iver some of his power The Seahawks went to a superbowl under him.

Re: Next years QB

Saying that Shanny is a rat bastard has nothing to do with Robert. It's not about choosing sides FFS.

MS mentioned RG3 called a meeting and didn't want certain plays run. He said certain plays were "unacceptable." True.

MS mentioned that RG3 didn't like that drop-back plays were called for KC and not RG3. True.

Snyder empowered RG3. True.

McNabb was having trouble calling plays. I remember this cause they wanted him to wear a wristband and he refused. True.

Griffin wants to be Aaron Rodgers. True.

Owner, GM coach and QB need to be on the same page and owner and QB had a different agenda. True.

Griffin wasn't being truthful when he hurt his knee in the Seattle game. True.

So again, you may not like what he said but the things he said were true. I'm sure when Gruden is fired the similar things will come out.
