Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
I don't care about the PR thing, but they still need to be more professional.
Cowboys and Skins are always dysfunctional somehow.

So true. I give Dan that much credit. The balls of Jerry to roll down on the sideline to tell Jason Tony is going back into the game. What a fucking putz. Jerry Jones told Jason Garrett that Tony Romo 'would be back' - SBNation.com Quote:
Making a fuss? No. Pointing out unprofessional behavior? Yes. Tony was a bit out of line. You don't shove a reporter away like that. That's very unprofessional. I get it, it's hard dealing with the press at times but you simply have to act like a professional.

Quote straight from Jerry: "I was here during the tail end of the examination and knew he planned to come back out and play if he were needed," Jones explained matter-of-factly. "Of course he was needed. I felt good that he could come back out. When he saw the opportunity he did. I told Jason that he would be back in." Are you fucking kidding me?

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
I must admit, as someone who has been very, very harsh on Meriweather.... he played well last night.
I hope this is the new defense... lots of pressure and letting our young corners challenge people. |

Wow. Jones is pretty unbelievable. What's next? He's going to suit up himself? And I agree that that interview was pure slime. It was gross just listening to it.

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
From reading cowboys message boards (it's a bad habit, but pays off in games like this) there are two things that crack me up.
1 - the amount of bitching they do about not getting any 'respect' from the media. everyone picked you. they ride your <you know what> long and hard every year. you have won one (1) playoff game since 1995. the amount of love you get from the media is ridiculous. but it's not enough for you? hah... 2 - they're bitching about Gruden and the way he covered the skins. i thought he was pretty matter-of-fact honest about how badly they were under performing, not playing up to their potential, and generally not executing. yes, as the game wore on and it became evident the Redskins showed up to play, he was a little more positive about some things, but i thought he was pretty harsh to start; justifiably so. |

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
also they went from talking about how much of a sure-win this game was and how they were destined for greatness this year, to:
jones is a joke garret needs to be fired romo is a choker and omg look how well weeden runs the offense. i don't think i've ever seen a fan base so whimsical and over dramatic, even our own. you would have thought that was for the division and the season was already over last night. though to be fair i did find a few that gave Haslett's game plan, the young corners, and McCoy credit. a few. |

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
2 things--Wylie pulled McCoy away AFTER he did the postgame deal with ESPN, the reporter he pulled him from was ESPN deportes, who still got his interview later...complete non-story...
--Question--On McCoy interception, Cowboy catches gets up makes an attempt to get up and run it out, gets hit while still in bounds(I believe by Garcon) fumbles out of the back of the endzone...why is that NOT a safety?? Cowboy defender clearly makes an attempt to get up and run... |

Re: Redskins Cowboys post game
You are a troll. You know damn well Colt isn't the #1 QB. Stop coming on here trying to stir up shit after one of our rare wins. BTW, fuck the Giants. This is still a Redskins site.

But you're right... it goes one of two ways. Either he never had possession and it's not a catch, or he had possession and it's a fumble out of the endzone. I guess the case **could** be made that he had given himself up, but I don't know how you can come to the conclusion. Guy had stood up and got popped. Should have been a safety. Just like the hold at the end of the game. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but we seem to get the short end of the stick on refs more often than not. Last night was atrocious. |

Everyone typically ignores him, he just wants to cluster people.

I didnt have a problem with it, more of a problem on the obvious no call holding call that the entire nation saw at the end of the game. Murphy was clearly held in the endzone
