I'm not saying I saw anything other than a slight head bob by Taylor, but if the ref saw enough to toss him I have to believe something happened. I'm not going to sit here and say well, I didn't see anything on TV so nothing could have happened.

Sometimes it's hard to even tell when it's raining during a game, so I guess to us at home if we can't see it then it must not be happening?

It could have been a very minute amount of spit, but if the ref saw Taylor commiting the action of spitting in Pittman's direction, does it really matter how much spit there was?? I guess only huge throat clams are deserving of a penalty and ejection?

Taylor isn't exactly a model citizen, if this was Darrell Green being accused of this ok, I would be more likely to think he was innocent. But we're talking about a guy who has some very serious off the field issues, and on the field he's gotten himself into some hot water as well.
Well what do you know, there is a sane one in the bunch!

Dude are you reading the entire thread?!? Most of the people in here think that what Taylor did was wrong, and that he should have gotten ejected. And it is a fact that you cannot see spit on the replay. That doesn't mean we are defending him or supporting what he is doing, you are just a sad Cowboys fan, who decided to start making posts at this forum after you saw that play. Yea you joined in Dec, but you did not make any other posts for a while, until the incident. Some of us think Pittman should have recieved a flag too be he did hit Taylor, that is a FACT. I do not think so, but the arguement is that if you support Pittman, then it is ok to retaliate no matter what, and it is NOT.

Here's how I feel. If he did indeed spit, the ejection was warranted. This is what I feel is unfair to Taylor. How much good play does Taylor have to do to make up for personal "bad plays"? Whatever happens, it'll be in the past and I'd like to think he has been learning from mistakes. It's time for us to move on, and to be sure it makes it a bit of a bittersweet victory.

On a high note, we'll be going into Seattle at somewhat full strength and hopefully Sean can shut his mouth and do his job.

Just a side note, according to Chris Cooley, Taylor DID spit on Pittman, but that was after Pittman smacked him in the head. They got the guy who retaliated.

Either way, they were both in the wrong in my opinion. If that was the case though, then Pittman should have gotten minimum whatever Taylor got. If Pittman did hit him first, that changes my whole opinion on the topic.

Its in the past, as long as hes not suspended next week, I really dont care.

Hello... anyone home...
Did anyone actually see the game here???
Come on, Pittman smacked him while the ref pulled them apart. It was at the end. If he did spit after, he would have hit the ref.

Did you see pittmans reaction. Something happened to make him do what he did. Hell, he should have beat the piss out of him. Lucky all he got was a little slap.

I'm not condoning what Taylor did in the slightest, because if he really did do that, I think its terrible....but Pittman is lucky that he only got a little slap in, cause Taylor would have knocked the crap out of that guy.

exactly, everywhere from ESPN to fan sites people are saying if i was pittman taylor would be on the ground blah blah blah. Even Pittman said if it was on the street taylor would get worse. The truth is Taylor could beat the shit out of pittman like no ones business. I just find it funny everyone thinks Taylor should have and could have gotten hit harder. I guess that is the type of reputation he will get. Not a strong big player but a punk bitch.

HAHA Pittman "beat the piss out of Taylor"??? Even you can agree that would never happen.

Re: The Spitting Ejection

I can't help but think that the refs were a little trigger happy as it was. Do you recall that when Antonio Brown muffed the catch on the Buc's punt in the first quarter? There were 3 Redskins on the recover, not a Buc around, and the initial call on the field was it was the Bucaneer's ball! Of course, they realized that it couldn't have been, as there wasn't any around...

IMHO.

Oh, Sean--can you PLEASE get your head out of your ass? I love you, man, but god, that was a boneheadded move. If we lost, man...

(Note: Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread. I agree with everything everyone said, though )

Re: The Spitting Ejection

The ref can bite me!

Granted if ST did indeed spit, yes he should have been ejected BUT with that being said, Pittman should not get a freebie either. He was not penalized at all and even if that "weak ass slap" (and yes it was weak) was in defense for being spat on...it sends the message in the NFL that you are ALLOWED to retaliate WITHOUT consequence....that is the message I got.
