I totally agree, it’s the coaching. There is a good nucleus of players on D, Payne, Allen, Ionnadis, Settle, Holcomb (shitty game, he’s a rookie), Moreland, Dunbar (when healthy) SDH, Sweat (rookie). With a good coach, they can play to their potential.

Or perhaps Ryan Anderson is just a tweener and a JAG. To small to play the line, to slow in speed and reaction, to slow to read and react. A special teams at best player who is too small and slow who will get his 3.3 years in the league. I think we need to hold the players accountable as well. If we get Payne 1-on-1 with an interior lineman, we should expect him to win that battle at least 50% of the time. Or Kerrigan or Allen etc, these are supposed to be blue chip talent, if they get 1-on-1, they should occasionally win some of these 1-on-1s. edit - Im not saying its not about the coaches but these players are just as much to blame imo. |

Seriously its time to tank. Unload every player for anything and everything. I dont care what you get back. Build around Haskins, young wr’s and Payne n Allen. Problem still being we have no coaches or gm to rebuild. They are the idiots who got us here. Ok so shitcan them too. Problem now is NOBODY in their right mind would come here that is any better. At least Miami has nice weather. Im telling you all this franchise is dead and buried and our epitaph says “SNYDER LIVES HERE”. Goodbye football.

The loser of the skins / phins game gets #1 pick IMO.
Heres the Question, do we take Tua with a new coaching staff and deal Haskins? I say No for the record, but it is a possibility as we saw with AZ

I think Dan Snyder would agree with you. Personally I think it depends on the growth we see in Haskins this season. He clearly isn't NFL ready, but he seems to have the right mindset.

I think he has a great attitude and will be a good QB / Winner. This season will be tough on him and u will hear the Bust chatter because he's set up for failure regardless of what happens at HC

Unless youre the Redskins ... then Dan Snyder gets to pick the starting QB. And youre not allowed to bad mouth or blame the starting QB. You have to praise him and cater your entire scheme to him and not the 52 other players. Above all else, Daniel Snyder must be made to look cool and smart. He is not a shy scared little man who is socially awkward and needs someone like Bruce Allen to be his face and voice at NFL meetings. Daniel Snyder is a big boy. --------------- Seriously though ..if the new HC doesnt get to pick his QB and is forced to work with Haskins .. arent we just repeating what we did with Gruden? Thats why the Haskins pick was so poorly timed. It wasnt a great QB draft and everyone knew we would have a new HC in 2020 and a high pick so why pick a franchise QB now before the new HC? Only the skins and dan snyder .. |

Re: How Low Can We Go? Redskins @ Giants Postgame Thread
I just can't get past the Giants rushing for 150 plus yards w/out SaQuan. I can't get past the Giants beating our asses 40 -0 at home last year w/ a lot of these same guys. Manusky sucks but the players have to be accountable too for missing tackles, not sacking a rookie QB, blowing assignments and making numerous stupid fouls.

I don't understand all the hype for Tua. I don't think he'll be nearly as good in the NFL as in college. Haskins > Tua. I would be fucking livid if we pulled off what the Cardinals did.
If we have # 1 pick, keep Haskins and sell to the highest bidder. And just go ham with offensive line picks throughout the draft. I'm cutting Moses and Penn is old. So we need at least 2 new starters there.

Re: How Low Can We Go? Redskins @ Giants Postgame Thread
Coaching is definitely the majority of our problem. We have guys that Saban won big with in college. We have issues with scheme, strategy, play calling, motivation, and discipline.
The front office deserve tons of blame too - Bruce is the reason we don't have Cousins right now and that's enough in and of itself to fire the douche. But this is 8-8 talent and Gruden can't even get them to look competitive against the Giants. It's pretty clear Gruden was propped up big time by some impressive assistant coaches early in his Redskins tenure. Without them he looks like shit.
