Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
They do seem to fall in love with a school and draft multiple players from one team.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
With the 51st pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Redskins select...
Darius Slay CB, Mississippi State Rd3 85 Justin Pugh OT, Syracuse Rd4 119 Duke Williams S, Nevada Rd5 154 ILB Rd5 162 TE/WR Rd6 191 RB Rd7 228 DB My thought process is that a few players should slip a little bit because they're not a good fit for preceeding teams (scheme) and therefore may benefit the Skins. I'm hopeful a prospect like Slay is still on the board in the 2nd because what I read in USA Today's NFL Draft Preview (I needed a reference for a Big Board) Slay's defense at Miss State was seriously lacking a pass rush and he still fared well with teams throwing away from top-corner counterpart Johnathan Banks. I also hope Pugh falls into our lap at 85th overall as other teams may see him as a ZBS OT. Duke Williams is probably a slight reach but I think the Skins like his leadership and they've shown to value captains. The positions I listed simply reflect needs that I think the team will try to address. Maybe a poor man's Santana Moss and Fred Davis (Shanahan trying to convert another WR to a TE type of player) clone can be found in the late rounds. Running backs? Need I say more? Maybe a promising small school DB who makes the PS. Last edited by RGIII; 04-21-2013 at 08:37 AM. |

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
Still want him but if we take Hayden, I dont think we take him. Plus, according to SS we want a playmaker on offense. Insert Ellington/Bernard goodbye Mathieu in that mock.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
A lot of folks not mocking a TE. I think it could be a pretty likely area where the FO looks. You got Fred "Philly blunt" Davis (1 year deal, suspension risk, major injury), you got Logan "Lumberjack" Paulsen (solid backup, under contract) and Niles "Cant Catch" Paul (drops, free agent after 2014) on the depth chart. Wouldnt be surprised if we grabbed one after the 3rd round.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
I feel he goes between 45-85 so if we stay where we are we might have 2 shots at him. I would take him but that is just me, if you feel he is your guy forget where he is projected to go. Remember last year there were some people here who didn't wanna give up what we gave up to get RGIII, preferably wanted to stay where we were and get a QB to groom in round 2. So we will see come Friday. I will not be mad if our 51st pick is Tyrann at all, because I feel we will draft Duke Williams in the 3rd or 4th round regardless and Swearinger and Thomas will be ther ein the 3rd I think.

Re: Post Your Redskins Mock Draft Here
2nd: Jamar Taylor CB, Boise State - Dude is a stud, I was thinking Offense here but I think the team realizes how bad our Secondary is.
3rd: Ty Mathieu- Steal of the draft IMO, He has/had a Weed problem but so did TW and FD and we all love both of those guys. Ty is the best playmaker in the draft on Defense. 4th: Xavier Nixon, RT, Florida- Solid Tackle that will get better as he gets older. 5th: Kenny Stills WR- Oklahoma 5th: AJ Klein ILB, Iowa State 6th: Ray Ray Armstrong, S, Miami 7th: Theo Riddick RB/WR, Notre Dame
