Re: Redskins Made Smart Choice With Kerrigan

Didn't know much about Kerrigan but he seems like a good fit. Every player on the board has question marks. I like the trade back. Now we can pick up hopefully at least two more potential starters. Possibilities? Two of the following:

Paea
Bowers DE
Dalton QB
Kaepernick QB
Austin DL
Hankerson WR
Ryan Williams RB
Sheard DE

For a defense that was complete shit last year Kerrigan can only make it better. You got to vote A, if not for the actual pick then for getting a second round pick. Beautiful!

Like everyone else i loved the trade back. I love getting a guy thats gonna work really hard. And i really love the fact that he was susposedly high on the NE list (i just really like their style).

The only thing that upsets me is that if we didnt switch to the 3-4, we wouldnt of had this need and we could of spent a first round pick on the offense. But i only say that because it takes me a really long time to get over stuff.... Im sure ill be happy with a Pittsburg 3-4 type d in a few years.

I'm just glad Jacksonville had David Garrard as their QB. They wouldn't have traded up if they didn't desire an improvement at quarterback. hahahahaha. So don't forget to thank Garrard for sucking in Jacksonville.

Since Shanny passed on a quarterback, I would rather seen him get a shutdown cornerback, Prince Amukamara. The Giants got him and the Skins are going to pay twice a year.
Respectfully sir, I think you are an idiot. Gabbert is not going to be an all world QB for the Jaguars. They did us a favor. There is a reason Shanny traded back instead of choosing him.

Re: Redskins Made Smart Choice With Kerrigan

Not sure if anyone mentioned this earlier but in the ESPN Draft Show with well respected Bill Parcells, he was asked who are some of your favorite players in this draft. He immediately said, 'The safest draft pick in this entire draft is Ryan Kerrigan. He is the least likely to be a bust.'
When you have guys like Von Miller and Patrick Petersen in this draft, for Parcells to single Kerrigan out really caught my attention. I had not even considered Kerrigan before this moment. Sounds like Kerrigan has a lot going for him!
Most importantly, great move to pick Kerrigan AND move down and get another 2nd rounder. WE FINALLY HAVE A FRONT OFFICE THAT IS NOT A MASSIVE FAILURE!
Great move Shanahan and Allen!

Yeah I can see how Kerrigan would be a Parcells type. The more I read about this kid the more I love. Great first round for the Skins with that pick and the trade down.

You can't get much more respectful than that!

Although, it might have cushioned the blow a bit more if you had said: "Respectfully, sir, I think you are an idiot savant - except for the savant part".

LOL. Seriously though, you can't give this pick an F just because you are pissed about Gabbert. Kerrigan is going to be great for our defense. Shanny obviously didn't like him as a fit for our offense and I haven't seen one thing that says Gabbert is going to be a superstar.

HA! If the coaches keep their jobs long enough to see the full 3-4 conversion.
